NCAA Game Summary - Clemson at Boston College

(Saturday, February 2)

Final Score: Boston College 75, Clemson 68

Chestnut Hill, MA (Sports Network) - Joe Rahon buried 6-of-7 3-pointers en route to a game-high 26 points, as the Boston College Eagles claimed a 75-68 victory over the Clemson Tigers in Atlantic Coast Conference action at the Conte Forum.

Lonnie Jackson added 14 points and Ryan Anderson finished with 12 to help the Eagles (10-11, 2-6 ACC) snap a five-game slide.

Devin Booker posted a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds -- eight of which came on the offensive glass -- to pace the Tigers (12-9, 4-5). Milton Jennings was next in line with 13 points, while reserves Jordan Roper and Adonis Filer scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Tigers never led in the contest, as they shot a dismal 6-of-26 from the floor (.231) in the first half and trailed, 30-19, at the break.

Clemson heated up in the second stanza (.556), but so did the Eagles, who shot at a blistering 70-percent clip and knocked down 6-of-9 threes over the final 20 minutes. BC led by as many as 20 with 9:30 to play in regulation.

The Eagles somehow managed to shoot better from 3-point range (11-of-20) than they did from the free-throw line (12-of-24). They were also out-rebounded by a 34-21 margin for the game, including 14-5 on the offensive boards. However, the Tigers were unable to capitalize on those extra opportunities, as they held only a slim 10-7 edge in second-chance points.
