Jersey City, NJ (Sports Network) - Mark Nwakamma put in 18 points as the Hartford Hawks toppled the Saint Peter's Peacocks 67-51 in a BracketBusters pairing at the Yanitelli Center.
Andres Torres scored 13 points and handed out six assists for Hartford (8-19) while Clayton Brother chipped in 10 points. The Hawks have now won four straight.
Darius Conley had a a game-high 20 points and nine rebounds for Saint Peter's (5-23) which has lost its last five games.
Hartford shot a hot 66.7 percent from the floor in the opening frame and despite a solid 47.8 percent shooting performance to open the game by Saint Peter's the Peacocks trailed 33-24 at intermission.
In the second half the Hawks continued to shoot well converting on 57.1 percent while Saint Peter's fell to just 36.0 percent shooting.
Hartford doubled Saint Peter's effort on the boards by outrebounding the Peacocks 34-17.
