NCAA Game Summary - Monmouth vs. Albany

Fairfax, VA (Sports Network) - Jayson Guerrier dropped 28 points on 9-of-10 from the floor and 5-of-6 from beyond the arc to go with 10 rebounds, leading Albany to an 85-49 thumping of Monmouth on Monday as part of the NIT Season Tip-Off.
Gerardo Suero netted 16 points and Ralph Watts chipped in with 12 points off the bench for Albany (2-2).
Will Campbell led Monmouth (0-4) with nine points and Ed Waite added eight points, five rebounds and three assists.
Monmouth scored the first four points of the game, but a three-pointer by Guerrier gave Albany a 10-8 edge with under 15 minutes to play in the opening half.
Albany scored the next six points to take a 16-8 lead before Campbell stopped the run with a trey to make it 16-11 with 12:17 to go.
Another three-pointer by Guerrier pushed Albany's lead to 26-17 with just over six minutes to play.
A free throw by Guerrier with under two minutes left in the first half spotted the Great Danes their largest lead of the half, 36-20, and they took a 38-25 lead into the locker room at halftime.
In the second half, a free throw by Suero gave the Great Danes a 39-25 lead, but the Hawks responded with an 6-0 run over the next minute-plus of game time to make it 39-31.
But Albany went on a 13-2 run to essentially put the game away.
The Great Danes shot 52 percent from the floor and 42 percent from beyond the arc, while Monmouth shot 35 percent from the floor and 23 percent from three- point land.
