Poughkeepsie, NY (Sports Network) - Dorvell Carter posted a game-high 18 points to lead the Marist Red Foxes to a 58-49 win over the New Hampshire Wildcats in a BracketBuster tussle at the McCann Center.
Devin Price added 15 points in the win for Marist (5-24), while Korey Bauer crashed the boards for a game-high 11 rebounds.
Chandler Rhoads scored 16 points to pace UNH (12-15) in the loss, while Tyrone Conley added 15 points and Brian Benson pulled down 10 rebounds.
The Wildcats were limited to a miserable 24.1 percent from the field during the first period of play, enabling Marist to jump out to a 31-16 halftime lead.
The Red Foxes then hit 42.9 percent from the field and 8-of-10 from the foul line over the final 20 minutes to earn the nine-point win.
The Wildcats shot just 37.0 percent from the floor in the loss.
