Radwanska moves on at Indian Wells
Indian Wells, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Second-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska cruised past Annika Beck of Germany with a 6-0, 6-0 decision at the $5.9 million BNP Paribas Open tennis event at Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
Sixth-seeded Romanian Simona Halep advanced with a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 victory over 26th-seeded Czech Lucie Safarova, while seventh-seeded Jelena Jankovic bested Magdalena Rybarikova, the 31st seed, 6-3, 6-2 and 18th-seeded Canadian Eugenie Bouchard handed ninth-seeded Italian Sara Errani a 6-3, 6-3 loss.
In a match that lasted nearly 3 1/2 hours, Alize Cornet of France, the 22nd seed, rallied from a first-set loss for a 6-7 (4-7), 7-5, 6-3 victory over No. 14 Spaniard Carla Suarez Navarro.
Another three-set match saw Australian qualifier Casey Dellacqua walk away with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win against 13th-seeded Italian Roberta Vinci.
Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark, the 10th-seed, took away a 7-6 (9-7), 3-6, 6-1 victory against Yaroslava Shvedova of Kazakhstan. Also, Lauren Davis defeated fellow American Varvara Lepchenko 6-3, 6-2 to advance.
