Baltimore's Neto named MISL Player of Week
Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Baltimore Blast forward Adauto Neto was named the Major Indoor Soccer League's Player of the Week on Tuesday for Week 10.
Neto had five goals and two assists as the East Division-leading Blast secured a pair of victories last week, 21-6 over the Syracuse Silver Knights on Friday and 8-5 over the Rochester Lancers on Sunday.
He took just seven shots in the two games, scoring on five of them, to win the award for the second time this season. Neto, the 2006 MISL MVP, was also named player of the week after Week 4.
The Milwaukee Wave defeated the Missouri Comets, 11-7, in Friday's other game. Missouri rebounded Saturday with a 13-10 win over the Wichita Wings.
The league resumes Thursday, when Baltimore visits the Norfolk SharX. Syracuse hosts Milwaukee in Friday's lone match and Missouri hosts Wichita on Saturday. On Sunday, Syracuse hosts Norfolk, and Milwaukee visits Rochester on Monday.
