New York's Henry suspended one match
Harrison, NJ (Sports Network) - Red Bull New York forward Thierry Henry was suspended one game Friday and fined an "undisclosed amount for violent conduct which endangered the safety" of an opponent.
Henry collided with Sporting Kansas City forward Kei Kamara on Wednesday night and MLS determined the Red Bulls' star deliberately made contact with the head of his opponent with his own head.
New York visits the New England Revolution on Saturday, and Henry was expected to sit out the match because it will be played on artificial turf. He will now have to sit out due to the suspension.
