Ibrahimovic's brace carries PSG

Paris, France (Sports Network) - Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted a second-half brace on Saturday as Paris Saint-Germain topped Nancy, 2-1, at the Parc des Princes.

Ibrahimovic missed the second leg of PSG's Champions League round-of-16 tie against Valencia, which saw Les Rouge-et-Bleu advance to the quarterfinals for the first time in 18 years, due to a red card suspension, but was in form on Saturday and made sure his team claimed three points.

But it was the visitors who struck first in the 36th minute through Benjamin Moukandjo, who worked his way into the PSG penalty area and powered a header past goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu for the 1-0 lead.

Nancy took its slim margin into the intermission, but Ligue 1's top goal scorer made his mark in the second half.

Ibrahimovic's first goal of the match materialized in the 59th minute when he calmly collected a pass from Jeremy Menez and slotted it past Nancy goalkeeper Damien Gregorini to put the sides on level terms.

Just three minutes later, Ibrahimovic gave the hosts the lead when he ran onto a pass from Marco Verratti and ripped a right-footed shot into the net.

PSG moves five points clear of second-place Lyon at the top of the table, while Nancy remains rooted to the foot of the table on 21 points from 28 matches,

Elsewhere in Ligue 1 on Saturday, Ronald Zubar's 75th minute tally lifted Ajaccio to a 1-0 win over Lorient, while Adrien Rabiot scored the only goal of the match in a 1-0 result for Toulouse against Brest.

Cedric Barbosa and Saber Khelifa each scored twice as Evian produced its best performance of the season in a 5-1 win over Sochaux, while Corentin Jean scored on each side of the break to lead Troyes to a 4-2 result over Reims.

In Saturday's final fixture of the day, Lille moved into fifth place with 46 points on the strength of second-half goals from Ronny, Tulio De Melo, and Benoit Pedretti in a 3-1 victory over Valenciennes.
