Colon rallies for draw with Estudiantes
Buenos Aires, Argentina (Sports Network) - Colon still is without a win through four games, but the club did well to rally for a point against Estudiantes over the weekend with two goals in the final seven minutes of a 3-3 draw.
Goals from Maximiliano Nunez and Roman Martinez in the first 11 minutes put Estudiantes in control, while Duvan Zapata's second-half penalty kick made it 3-1 with under 30 minutes to play.
Facundo Curuchet pulled a goal back for Colon in the 83rd minute and Hernan Bernardello netted the equalizer in stoppage time to complete the comeback.
After three successive wins to begin the campaign, Lanus was held to a 0-0 draw at Racing as Guillermo Barros Schelotto was sent off in the 76th minute, while River Plate's perfect mark was also spoiled with a 2-0 defeat at San Lorenzo courtesy of first-half goals from Denis Stracqualursi and Mauro Cetto.
Atletico Rafaela had to settle for a 3-3 draw at Quilmes after Fabricio Fontanini's own goal in the 86th minute and Newell's topped Belgrano, 2-0, in Friday's other contest behind goals from Ignacio Scocco and Maximiliano Urruti.
Arsenal's Lisandro Lopez tallied the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Independiente, while Argentinos Juniors held on for a 0-0 draw with Godoy Cruz despite playing the final seven minutes with nine men as Godoy's Mauro Obolo missed a penalty kick in the 85th minute.
Two goals from Matias Garcia helped Tigre to a 2-1 victory over All Boys, Boca Juniors sustained a 3-1 home defeat against Union and on Monday, Velez Sarsfield claimed a 3-0 victory over San Martin.
