NHL Game Summary - NY Rangers at Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Jaromir Jagr scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the New York Rangers defeated the Philadelphia Flyers, 4-3, at the Wachovia Center.
Michael Nylander registered a goal and an assist, Marcel Hossa and Petr Sykora tallied a goal apiece and Henrik Lundqvist made 26 saves for the Rangers, who have won three straight since losing to the Flyers, 3-2, in overtime on Monday.
Mike Knuble scored two goals, Jeff Carter added his 13th tally of the season and Robert Esche made 24 saves for the Flyers, who have lost two straight and four of their last five games. Mike Richards added two assists for Philadelphia.
After Jagr was hauled down at the end of regulation, the Rangers began the overtime session with a 4-on-3 power play that resulted in the game-winning score.
Jagr beat Esche with a one-timer from inside the right circle just 1:24 into the extra session to seal the win for New York, which now leads Philadelphia by one point for the Atlantic Division lead.
Tied 2-2 in the third period, Philadelphia took its first lead of the contest after Knuble netted his second tally of the game. Richards, who skated down the wing into the left circle, fed Knuble in the slot for an easy tap in and a 3-2 advantage at the 11:08 mark.
The Rangers pulled Lundqvist with about a minute left in the game and it paid off after Sykora deflected a shot from the high slot just under the crossbar with 41.1 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.
New York drew first blood with 4:27 left in the first period after Hossa beat Esche glove side with a one-timer from the right circle for a 1-0 lead.
The Rangers extended their lead midway through the second period while on the power play after Nylander beat Esche glove side low from the right circle for a 2-0 advantage.
Philadelphia got back within one with 4:38 remaining in the second period after Knuble took a pass from Richards and beat Lundqvist glove side from the slot to make it 2-1.
The Flyers netted the equalizer 1:34 into the third frame after Carter threw a shot on goal from the right half wall that caromed off of Lundqvist and in for a 2-2 tie.
The Flyers and Rangers have split four meeting this season and each of the last three contests have gone to overtime...This was the Flyers' league- leading 18th appearance in overtime this season. New York has played in 16...New York is 20-1-2 when leading after two periods... The Flyers fell to 2-7-3 when trailing after two periods...Flyers defenseman Chris Therien (head), center Petr Nedved (groin) and Rangers' left wing Petr Prucha (leg) all left the game with injuries and did not return.
