NHL Game Summary - Chicago at Anaheim

(Friday, November 26th)

Final Score: Chicago 4, Anaheim 1

Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Patrick Sharp notched the go-ahead goal and added an assist as Chicago used a strong third period to beat Anaheim, 4-1, at Honda Center.

Duncan Keith, Niklas Hjalmarsson and Troy Brouwer also tallied for the Blackhawks, who improved to 3-2-0 on their current six-game road trip, which ends in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Corey Crawford won his third straight start with a 26-save performance.

"It would be nice to get something rolling and to get some wins in a row. We were talking about that prior to the game," said Chicago head coach Joel Quenneville. "At some point during the year, you get a little streak going where all the sudden things are going in your favor. That is what we're looking for going into the end of this road trip."

Dan Sexton notched the lone goal for the Ducks, whose season-high losing streak reached six games. Jonas Hiller was dented for all four goals on 28 shots in the loss, and was pulled late for Curtis McElhinney, who made six saves the rest of the way.

Sharp ripped a wrister over Hiller's glove at the 2:55 mark of the third period and the Blackhawks led for the first time, 2-1.

Hjalmarsson made it 3-1 for Chicago just prior to the six-minute juncture, and Brouwer pushed the visitors' edge to three at 9:40. The goal spelled the end of Hiller for McElhinney, but the change in net failed to stoke the Ducks' offensive fire.

Anaheim got on the board with 3:11 left in the first period, when Sexton beat Crawford with a point blast on the power play.

Chicago equalized at the 7:40 mark of the second while shorthanded, as Keith's shot from the right circle was squeezed off between Hiller's pads, but the puck managed to trickle through and cross the goal line.

"I thought he was shooting and it came across. I thought I made the save and I couldn't find the puck so I just didn't want to move," said Hiller. "I still don't know how it went in. We were unable to react after that."
