(Friday, January 29th)

Final Score: Anaheim 2, Tampa Bay 1 (SO)

Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - James Wisniewski scored the lone goal in regulation and netted the game-winner in the shootout, as the Anaheim Ducks edged the Tampa Bay Lightning, 2-1, at St. Pete Times Forum.

After each club scored once through the first two rounds, Brandon Bochenski was turned away by Anaheim goaltender Jonas Hiller. The Ducks prevailed when Wisniewski snapped a wrister through the pads of Antero Niittymaki.

Hiller stopped 30 shots for the Ducks, who improved to 2-3-0 on a season-high, six-game road trip that will end Monday against Florida.

Martin St. Louis scored for the Lightning, who were aiming to complete a perfect four-game homestand. Niittymaki made 31 saves in defeat.

Tampa Bay grabbed a 1-0 lead at 9:47 of the first period when St. Louis whipped a Steven Stamkos pass through the pads of Hiller to complete an odd- man rush while the clubs skated four aside.

Wisniewski tied the game on the power play, firing a shot from the left circle that beat Niittymaki on the short side and inside the far post at 6:36 of the middle stanza.
