Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Tomas Plekanec's goal 3:32 into overtime gave the Montreal Canadiens a 2-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning at St. Pete Times Forum.

Kurtis Foster scored the lone goal for the Lightning, who had won four of five coming into the contest. Smith made 33 stops in the loss.

After a scoreless first period, the Habs took a 1-0 lead halfway through the second period as Gionta's wrister from down low gave the team a 1-0 lead.
