Name  Drew Willy
Born  11/13/1986
Height  6-3
Weight  217
College  Buffalo
Appeared in all 14 games for the Buffalo Bulls in 2008, completing 65 percent of his pass attempts for 3,304 yards and 25 touchdowns, against just six interceptions...Willy took nearly every snap for the Bulls as they earned their first bowl berth since moving to the ranks of Division I-A in 1999 and put together one of the most memorable games in school history against Bowling Green when they clinched the MAC East Division in double-overtime in late November...A preseason All-MAC choice and a candidate for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award which goes to the top senior quarterback in the nation, Willy made a name for himself as a junior with the Bulls when he threw for 2,572 yards and 15 touchdowns, avoiding an interception through the first seven games of the campaign (a stretch of 235 attempts)...Suffered a thumb injury late in the 2006 season, Willy again showed good decision making in the pocket as he was the last Division I-A signal-caller to toss an interception that season, waiting until October 7th to do so...Certainly garnered some attention for himself in the MAC as a clutch passer who makes few mistakes, but on anational scale Willy is still a virtual unknown.
