College  Oklahoma State
11/2/2014 5:11:00 PM
Description: Owners that gave Brandon Weeden a spot start were greatly disappointed with the quarterback's play in Week 9.
Insight: Weeden was 18-for-33 with 183 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. The one touchdown did not come until garbage time. The Cowboys could not move the ball at all, so hopefully Tony Romo returns in Week 10. Dallas is in London next week and then has a bye, so it is tough to determine whether Romo will be rushed back because of this poor performance from Weeden or whether the team will give him additional rest.

11/2/2014 11:51:00 AM
Description: As expected, Brandon Weeden will start in Week 9 against the Cardinals.
Insight: Weeden took all the first-team reps this week, and in a pinch, is a viable fantasy option because of the talent around him. This will be Weeden's first start since Dec. 1, 2013. Weeden has not won a start since December of 2012.

11/2/2014 9:46:00 AM
Description: Brandon Weeden will start Week 9 against Arizona for the Dallas Cowboys as numerous sources are reporting Romo has made the decision to sit due to his back injury.
Insight: Weeden took all the first-team reps this week and could be a viable fantasy option with plenty of surrounding talent in Dez Bryant, Terrance Williams and Jason Witten. And play action should work well with the league's best running back behind him.

10/31/2014 2:25:00 PM
Description: Brandon Weeden has a very good chance of starting Week 9 against Arizona.
Insight: Tony Romo hasn't practiced all week and at best is a game-time decision. The Cardinals are yielding 302 ypg through the air and Weeden could be a viable fantasy option if he gets the start.

8/8/2014 10:57:00 AM
Description: Brandon Weeden looked surprisingly good in a starting role, going 13-for-17 for 107 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions in the Cowboys preseason opener.
Insight: He did it without Dez Bryant, Jason Witten or DeMarco Murray, so we were impressed. Tony Romo did have offseason surgery, but should be ready to go when the season begins. If Weeden can continue to play at this level he'll be a solid handcuff.

3/17/2014 4:56:00 PM
Description: Brandon Weeden has signed a two-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys.
Insight: Barring injury, Weeden's fantasy value is zero. Tony Romo did have offseason surgery, but should be ready to go by training camp.

Description: The Brandon Weeden experiment has ended in Cleveland. SOURCE: Mike Silver, NFL.com
Insight: The Browns admitted defeat by cutting Weeden earlier today. With 26 interceptions and a 71.8 rating over his first 23 games, it's clear Weeden isn't starter material. He'll land a backup job this offseason ... if he's lucky.

Description: Brandon Weeden wants the Browns to trade him. SOURCE: Chris Wesseling, NFL.com
Insight: Weeden lost his starting job multiple times last season and is unlikely to get it back in 2014. Brian Hoyer is the team's best option under center though Cleveland might still draft a quarterback with the fourth pick. Either way, it's going to be tough to drum up interest from other teams after Weeden's dismal 2013 campaign (70.3 QB rating, 52.8 completion percentage).

12/1/2013 6:44:00 PM
Description: Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden was diagnosed with a concussion after Sunday's game against the Jaguars, according to cleveland.com.
Insight: Weeden started Sunday's game because Jason Campbell was out with the concussion he suffered in Week 12. Alex Tanney, who was picked up from Dallas' practice squad this week, is Cleveland's other QB.

12/1/2013 5:00:00 PM
Description: Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden had 370 passing yards, three touchdowns and three turnovers Sunday against the Jaguars.
Insight: Weeden targeted Josh Gordon 15 times and hit him on 10 for 261 yards and two touchdowns. He'll be a decent 12-team QB2 if he starts in Week 14 at New England.

11/25/2013 6:45:00 PM
Description: Sports Illustrated reports Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden will start next week's game against Jacksonville.
Insight: It's not by choice. Starter Jason Campbell is out with a concussion. Weeden definitely shouldn't be your first choice but if your team is dealing with an injury, he could be worth a look against a Jaguars team that ranks 24th in yards allowed. Wideout Josh Gordon should see plenty of targets with Weeden under center.

Cold10/23/2013 12:59:00 PM
Description: The Browns have seen enough. Brandon Weeden has been benched in favor of backup quarterback Jason Campbell for this week's game against Kansas City.
Insight: By every measure, Weeden has been one of the worst quarterbacks in football this year and at age 30, the odds of him improving down the line aren't very high. The Browns would be wise to draft a quarterback next May with Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater and Johnny Manziel from Texas A&M as the two best options. Unfortunately, Heisman frontrunner Jameis Winston from Florida State won't be eligible for the draft until 2015.

Cold10/22/2013 11:32:00 AM
Description: The decision to start or sit Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden in Week 8 has yet to be made.
Insight: Coach Rob Chudzinski really doesn't have many options because we've all seen what backup Jason Campbell can and can't do, but Weeden was simply ugly against the Packers last Sunday. Heading into Arrowhead Stadium in Week 8 means fantasy owners should avoid the Browns offense at all costs no matter who is under center.

10/14/2013 2:06:00 PM
Description: Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden will start in Week 7, according to Coach Rob Chudzinski.
Insight: Chudzinski really doesn't have many options because we've all seen what backup Jason Campbell can and can't do. Weeden is 0-3 this season with a 71.4 QB rating.

10/7/2013 2:45:00 PM
Description: Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden is expected to start Week 6 against Detroit, according to Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot.
Insight: The quarterback questions in Cleveland ended when Brian Hoyer's knee injury ended his season. Weeden isn't likely to get a challenge from Jason Campbell.

9/19/2013 6:03:00 PM
Description: Brandon Weeden won't need surgery on his sprained thumb. SOURCE: Adam Schefter, ESPN
Insight: The Browns are expecting Weeden to miss only one game. Former Patriots signal caller Brian Hoyer will get the start Sunday against the Vikings.

9/18/2013 11:09:00 AM
Description: Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden, who left Sunday's game against the Ravens in the fourth quarter, has been diagnosed with a sprained right thumb, and will not play in Week 3
Insight: Weeden hit his thumb on a helmet and went to the locker room. Brian Hoyer and not Jason Campbell is expected to get the start. It will be Hoyer's second career start.

9/16/2013 10:43:00 AM
Description: Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden, who left Sunday's game against the Ravens in the fourth quarter, has been diagnosed with a sprained right thumb, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.
Insight: Weeden hit his thumb on a helmet and went to the locker room. If he can't play next Sunday, Jason Campbell would be the Browns option. That's not good news for any fantasy owner. The last fantasy-worthy game out of Campbell came back in 2011.

8/20/2013 12:50:00 PM
Description: Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden has finally been named the starter by coach Rob Chudzinski. It was never much of a contest between Weeden and Jason Campbell.
Insight: Weeden went 18-of-25 for 229 yards and three touchdown in the preseason. The Browns offense should be improved if they can a) keep Trent Richardson healthy, b) get the most out of Greg Little and Josh Gordon and c) use talented tight end Jordan Cameron.
