Name  Robert Meachem
Born  9/28/1984
Height  6-2
Weight  215
College  Tennessee
Easily led Tennessee in receiving as a junior in 2006, posting 71 catches for 1,298 yards and 11 touchdowns, earning him All-America First Team honors...Meachem became only the six receiver in UT history to reach the 2,000-yard receiving plateau...Was one of the nation's leaders in yards per game with just under 100 per outing last season...Meachem averaged better than 18 yards per catch in '06, a huge improvement over his 13.2 yards per grab as a sophomore when he was limited to only two touchdowns on 29 catches...Although he had a mere 25 catches in his first season with the program, he still led the group with 459 yards and 18.4 ypc...Was forced to redshirt in 2003 after undergoing knee surgery in August...Perhaps the injury early in his career has something to do with his reluctance to go over the middle and get physical with defenders, opting to work the outside of the field which is a characteristic that takes away from his attractiveness at the moment...Certainly Meachem has the size and speed to compete at the pro level, but he also has to have the right mind set to go along with those attributes.
