Description: The Vikings have decided to shift Joe Webb from QB to a full-time wide receiver, according to the Minnesota Star Tribune.
Insight: Webb was thrown into the fire in January when Christian Ponder couldn't start Minnesota's playoff game against the Packers due to an elbow injury. Webb completed just 11-of-30 in the game and the Vikings lost 24-10. Minnesota signed Matt Cassel to back up Ponder this season. With Greg Jennings, Jerome Simpson, Jarius Wright and rookie first-rounder Cordarrelle Patterson ahead of him on the depth chart and the Vikings using a run-first offense, Webb won't have any fantasy value.

Insight: Ponder has elbow bursitis and didn't practice all week while Webb handled first-team reps. Playoff league fantasy owners who are desperate for an active starting quarterback should hit the free agent wire and add Webb immediately.

Description: If the Vikings use a high pick on a quarterback, the team could let that player compete with QB Joe Webb for the starting job. SOURCE: MINNEAPOLIS STAR-TRIBUNE
Insight: This will change when the team brings in a veteran if there is a new CBA. We honestly can't imagine a scenario where the Vikings would go into training camp with Joe Webb, a rookie and another player and let the three duke it out. Vince Young has been heavily linked to Minnesota, as has Kyle Orton. Either of those player would beat Webb out hands down.

Description: Vikings HC Leslie Frazier wants to draft a franchise quarterback in 2011. SOURCE: ST. PAUL PIONEER-PRESS
Insight: Frazier says he wants a "young quarterback that we can develop and build our franchise around. That would be ideal, to find the next Matt Ryan or Joe Flacco." Joe Webb did show some talent, but it was mostly his ability to run with the ball. He will be nothing more than a backup at best in his career.

Description: As expected, Vikings QB Joe Webb will get the start against the Eagles. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: Brett Favre couldn't pass his initial concussion test, so it's not a surprise that he is inactive. He could try to get ready for Week Seventeen, which will likely be his last NFL game. The Eagles Defense should put up solid fantasy points.
