Description: Packers running back DuJuan Harris (knee) has been placed on injured reserve and will apparently miss the season.
Insight: Rookie Eddie Lacy has a chance to earn a role as a three-down back. Rookie Johnathan Franklin, Alex Green and James Starks should fill out the backfield, but its Lacy until proven otherwise.

Description: Packers running back DuJuan Harris (knee) may not be ready for Week 1, according to coach Mike McCarthy.
Insight: If Harris is not ready to go, it could be a huge opportunity for rookie Eddie Lacy to earn a role as a three-down back. Harris was ahead of another rookie, Johnathan Franklin, for the backup spot to Lacy.

Description: According to USA Today, Packers coach Mike McCarthy isn't ready to hand the starting running back job over to rookie Eddie Lacy yet, at least not until he has a look at DuJuan Harris.
Insight: "I'm excited to see when DuJuan Harris comes back, because I view him as our starter," McCarthy said Thursday. "I want him to get back in there and earn it like he did all of last year. He made an impact in our offense." Harris, who is currently on the active/PUP list with a knee injury, ran for 257 yards on 62 carries in six games after being promoted from the practice squad last season. We don't expect Harris to realistically challenge Lacy for the starting job, regardless of what McCarthy said.

Description: Jason Wilde is reporting that Packers coach Mike McCarthy was recently singing the praises of running back DuJuan Harris.
Insight: Harris played well when given the chance late in the season and during the playoffs so if the Packers don't select a running back on Draft Day, you can expect Harris to get the first chance to be the team's starting tailback. Even if he wins the job, he'll still be limited by the fact that the Packers are a pass-first offense.

Description: It wasn't Ryan Grant, Alex Green or even Aaron Rodgers who led the Packers rushing attack, it was DuJuan Harris. Harris rushed for 47 yards and a score and caught five balls for 53 yards for 16 fantasy points.
Insight: Harris didn't get his first carry until Week 14, but it appears that he is the running back to have going forward. He'll face a very tough 49ers run defense next weekend so he won't be a great play.
