New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny and Baltimore kicker Justin Tucker have been selected as the AFC's top players for Week 10 of the NFL season.
Thomas claimed the offensive award after catching seven passes for 108 yards with three touchdowns in a 28-20 win over San Diego. He tied for the most TD receptions in a game in franchise history.
Posluszny picked up the defensive honor with eight tackles, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in Jacksonville's first win of the season, a 29-27 triumph over Tennessee.
Tucker drilled the overtime winning field goal, a 46-yard kick, in a 20-17 victory over Cincinnati to garner the special teams nod. It was his fifth game-winning field goal since entering the NFL in 2012.
Other offensive nominees included Pittsburgh wide receiver Antonio Brown, who had six catches for 104 yards in a 23-10 win over Buffalo; Cincinnati receiver A.J. Green, who had eight receptions for 151 yards with the game-tying TD on the final play of regulation in the loss to Baltimore; and Miami receiver Rishard Matthews, who hauled in 11 passes for 120 yards and two scores in a 22-19 loss to Tampa Bay.
Defensive consideration went to Baltimore safety James Ihedigbo, who had nine tackles and two interceptions but also batted the desperation heave that landed in Green's hands in the victory over Cincinnati; and Bengals linebacker Vincent Rey, who notched 13 tackles with three sacks and one interception in the loss to Baltimore.
Houston punter Shane Lechler was nominated for the special teams award after averaging 58.9 yards on seven punts in a 27-24 loss to Arizona.
