3/27/2015 10:59:00 AM
Description: Rockets center Dwight Howard started on Wednesday against the Pelicans and came through it without incident, so we expect him back on the court Friday night.
Insight: Howard only played 16 minutes and is likely on a minutes limit after missing two months. We expect his numbers from the first game back (four points, seven rebounds) will improve dramatically over the next few games as he knocks off the rust from his game.

3/25/2015 2:44:00 PM
Description: Rockets center Dwight Howard will start on Wednesday against the Pelicans. Coach Kevin McHale said he will be on a minutes limit according to the Houston Chronicle.
Insight: Judging by the fact he hasn't played in two months, Howard will probably not play more than 15 minutes. If owners kept Howard on the roster this long, now is the time to start him.

3/24/2015 2:48:00 PM
Description: Rockets' head coach Kevin McHale said he was planning on playing center Dwight Howard (knee) on Wednesday at New Orleans.
Insight: He did preface the statement with "depending on how Howard feels today (Tuesday)", but this is great news for fantasy owners.

3/23/2015 1:22:00 PM
Description: Houston center Dwight Howard (knee) has been downgraded to out for Monday's game against Indiana.
Insight: It was always unlikely for him to play Monday, but it is still big news that Howard is getting close enough that we have to do daily notes. He could be back by the end of the week.

3/22/2015 2:19:00 PM
Description: Houston center Dwight Howard (knee) has been upgraded to doubtful for Monday's game against Indiana.
Insight: While he is unlikely to play, it is still big news that Howard is getting closer. He could be back by the end of the week.

3/18/2015 6:40:00 PM
Description: Houston center Dwight Howard could return in a week. He is expected to played between 20-25 minutes and will not play in back-to-back sets right away according to NBA.com.
Insight: Howard returned to practice on Monday and could return as early as March 23. He, however, doesn't have much fantasy value for this regular season. The minutes limit is going to hurt, plus he will miss at least three games because of back-to-back sets. Terrence Jose, Donatas Motiejunas and Josh Smith owners should keep rolling with those guys for now.

3/16/2015 6:36:00 PM
Description: Houston center Dwight Howard (knee) practiced with the team.
Insight: There is still no timetable for his return, and we would guess it would be closer to the end of the regular season. With fantasy playoffs likely underway, Howard is not a must-own player.

3/15/2015 2:33:00 PM
Description: Houston coach Kevin McHale admitted that he is still unsure when forward Dwight Howard will return to the court according to the Long Beach Press-Telegram.
Insight: Howard has been progressing closer to returning but he is without an official return date. At this point, if owners have been stashing Howard this long, owners might as well keep stashing.

3/12/2015 10:30:00 AM
Description: Houston center Dwight Howard expectes to return to the lineup in two weeks, according to an ESPN report.
Insight: Howard just wennt through some one-on-one drills Wednesday. All Rockets frontcourt players will take a hit when Howard returns to the lineup.

2/28/2015 1:10:00 PM
Description: Houston center Dwight Howard doesn't appear to be much closer to returning, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.
Insight: Its been four weeks and he has yet to progress to on-court drills. He'll have more MRI work done next week and we will know more, but at this point fantasy owners should plan on life without the big man.

2/8/2015 6:42:00 PM
Description: Houston center Dwight Howard said his timetable to return will be anywhere from six-to-eight weeks according to the Houston Chronicle.
Insight: This directly contradicts the timetable Dr. Walt Love gave last week when he said Howard could return in about four weeks. This leaves fantasy owners with a very tough decision as the fantasy playoffs are rapidly approaching. Your guess is as good as ours whether to believe the doctor or the player.

2/2/2015 11:28:00 AM
Description: Latest reports are that Houston center Dwight Howard will miss about a month due to his bad knee.
Insight: An MRI revealed fluid buildup in his right knee, so things aren't looking too good. Donatas Motiejunas has averaged 21.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg over his last three games and should be picked up in all leagues.

1/30/2015 6:49:00 PM
Description: MassLive.com reports that Kevin McHale said "We won't have Dwight (Howard) for a while."
Insight: An MRI revealed fluid buildup in his right knee, so things aren't looking too good. He is seeking a second opinion, but fantasy owners should plan for him to be out for quite some time.

1/29/2015 7:57:00 PM
Description: Rockets center Dwight Howard will receive a second opinion on his right knee injury according to Yahoo Sports.
Insight: Howard will miss at least two games and could miss much more time. He missed two weeks with a knee injury at the end of last season, and at this point this injury is considered more serious. Fantasy owners should probably assume Howard will be out at least through the All-Star break. However long he is out, Terrence Jones will continue to see plenty of opportunities.

1/29/2015 9:45:00 AM
Description: Rockets center Dwight Howard will miss the next two games ... at least.
Insight: Howard (16.3 ppg, 11.0 rpg, 1.4 apg, 1.4 bpg) is dealing with a build up of fluid on his right knee to ho along with a right ankle injury. Just back Terrence Jones could see a lot of playing time with Donatas Motiejunas moving to the middle.

1/28/2015 6:51:00 PM
Description: Rockets center Dwight Howard is doubtful versus the Mavericks on Wednesday.
Insight: Coach Kevin McHale told ESPN Dallas that he would be "shocked" if Howard plays. With Howard out, Terrence Jones has a chance for more minutes in his first game back from his injury.

1/25/2015 10:55:00 PM
Description: Rockets center Dwight Howard did not play versus the Lakers Sunday.
Insight: There appears to be a chance Howard will miss more time. Howard is considered day-to-day. Meanwhile, the Rockets are doing just fine without him against the Lakers.

1/25/2015 2:32:00 PM
Description: Rockets center Dwight Howard (sprained right ankle) was not at the morning shootaround and is, at best, a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the LA Lakers, according to beat writer Mark Medina.
Insight: Consider Howard day-to-day, but they should be able to beat the Lakers without Howard which would give him until Wednesday to recover. Joey Dorsey played 20 minutes against the Suns on Friday, but didn't show he's ready to help fantasy owners. Donatas Motiejunas is a better option.

1/25/2015 10:15:00 AM
Description: Rockets center Dwight Howard left Friday's game with a sprained right ankle and is questionable for Sunday's game against the LA Lakers.

1/23/2015 9:57:00 PM
Description: Rockets center Dwight Howard left Friday's game with a sprained right ankle and will not return.
Insight: The Rockets are likely playing this one safe, as the injury did not look too bad. Consider Howard day-to-day.
