Description: Rockets forward Omri Casspi is questionable for Thursday's game against Minnesota due to an illness.
Insight: Casspi doesn't get much playing time anymore with Chandler Parsons playing as well as he is this season.

Description: Rockets forward Omri Casspi played 33 minutes Monday with Terrence Jones incapacitated with a thigh bruise and had 15 points, eight boards and three threes.
Insight: Jones won't miss much time with the injury so there isn't an urgent need to add Casspi but keep him in mind if Jones suffers another injury. Donatas Motiejunas started in Jones' place but only played 22 minutes. The Rockets went small often with Chandler Parsons at the four and Casspi at the three.

Description: Cleveland backup small forward Omri Casspi (appendix surgery) could be ready to rejoin the club and is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against Washington.
Insight: Casspi (4.0 ppg) has very little fantasy value and will likely be eased back into the rotation on a limited basis.

Description: Cleveland small forward Omri Casspi is in the hospital recovering from appendix surgery.
Insight: Obviously, Casspi (4.0 ppg) won't be available for Sunday's game versus the Heat. Even when healthy, Casspi doesn't play enough minutes to warrant serious fantasy consideration.

Description: The Cavaliers backup SF Omri Casspi is questionable for Friday's game against Indiana due to a stomach virus.
Insight: Casspi is averaging just 5.2 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 0.5 apg. and has little fantasy value even when healthy.

Description: The Cavaliers will start Omri Casspi at SF with Alonzo Gee moving to SG Monday with Dion Waiters (ankle) out. SOURCE: Jason Lloyd, Akron Beacon Journal
Insight: Cavs coach Byron Scott said he chose Casspi over Daniel Gibson because of Detroit's size in the backcourt. Scott didn't want 6-foot-8 Kyle Singler posting up Gibson.

1/22/2011 4:01:00 AM
Description: Omri Casspi picked up a sizable portion of injured Francisco Garcia's minutes to log 44 in the overtime loss. His stat line was above average with 14 points, nine boards, and two threes.
Insight: Omri and Garcia have canceled each other out all season and now it looks like Casspi could get a chance to show what he can do. He has some rebounding skills to go with his perimeter game and is a decent add in some standards. The Kings get four games next week, too.

1/7/2011 1:47:00 AM
Description: Omri Casspi had one of the better lines of the night with 13 points including three bombs and six threes as the Kings upset the Nuggets.
Insight: No David involved here, but Omri was a stud. He is far from a must-add player, but there is some allure to adding this guy.

12/7/2010 11:00:00 AM
Description: Casspi led the Kings with 21 points off the bench in a loss to the Clippers. He was 8-for-11 from the field and had ten rebounds.
Insight: The Kings are in flux and coach Paul Westphal seems to be trying to find the best pieces to put on the court. Casspi had been quiet of late, but maybe his big game in Los Angeles will earn him more playing time. (RapidDraft.com)

11/1/2010 11:29:00 PM
Description: Omri Casspi knocked down another three triples for 14 points, a steal, and two assists in 31 minutes.
Insight: Casspi was a huge part of the win with good defense and clutch shooting. He needs to be picked up after this outing in standard leagues.

10/30/2010 11:04:00 PM
Description: Casspi had a nice game against the Cavaliers tonight scoring 20 points, grabbing four rebounds and dishing out one assist. He also shot the ball very good, hitting 6 out of 7 three point attempts.
Insight: Casspi isn't highly owned right now but that could change after tonight's good showing. (RapidDraft.com)

10/30/2010 9:11:00 PM
Description: Francisco Garcia had been rolling, but Omri Casspi took over on Saturday with six three-pointers to hoist his point total to 20 while also stealing two and blocking one. Meanwhile, Garcia disappeared with just four points and four rebounds in 16 minutes played.
Insight: It's not time to make the switch yet since Casspi was en fuego. Both players should be worth owning for now in deeper leagues since six threes in a game usually is no small feat. Oddly enough he is the fourth player to do it this week.

9/9/2010 7:05:00 PM
Description: Showing just how low some people will go, a mural with Casspi's face on it was covered with a swastika this week.
Insight: "It's hurtful to think that this is 2010, and there are still people like that out there...it's probably just some idiot who wants some publicity", said Casspi. He seems to be handling the situation on a very mature level. (RapidDraft.com)

9/9/2010 6:19:00 PM
Description: Omri Casspi expressed his thoughts about a swastika defacing his mural. "It's been all over the news over here," said Casspi from Israel. "Everybody's talking about it. It's hurtful to think that this is 2010, and there are still people like that out there...It's probably just some idiot who wants some publicity." SOURCE: Sacramento Bee
Insight: It's nice see athletes that know how to handle ugly situations better than the average person.

9/9/2010 3:13:00 PM
Description: Police are investigating a possible hate crime after a swastika was painted on a mural depicting a Jewish player for the Sacramento Kings. SOURCE: Probasketballtalk.com
Insight: The incident reportedly took place on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year, and Casspi is the only Jewish player in the league. We hope the perpetrators are brought to justice in a swift manner.
