TeamRecordPrevious Rank
1. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS44-111
East road trip not going great. Not poorly either, but not great.
2. ATLANTA HAWKS45-122
16-4 versus the almighty Western Conference. Not too shabby.
3. MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES41-153
Sensational wins vs LAC and POR. Understandable loss vs. SAC.
4. CLEVELAND CAVALIERS37-227
Can make the claim right now they are among the best in the NBA.
5. HOUSTON ROCKETS39-184
James Harden is becoming clearer MVP to me every day.
6. PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS37-195
Only 13-13 on the road is the worst mark among contenders.
7. DALLAS MAVERICKS39-219
Hard to see a volatile moment from Rajon Rondo. Never happened before.
8. TORONTO RAPTORS37-206
3-game losing streak, but they lead by a mile in the Atlantic.
9. LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS37-218
Chris Paul turns it over in crucial moments. Love him, but fact.
10. CHICAGO BULLS36-2210
Derrick Rose injury is crippling, but if he can return, they'll be OK.
11. SAN ANTONIO SPURS34-2311
Rodeo trip has gone terribly awry and Tony Parker is struggling.
12. MILWAUKEE BUCKS32-2513
Two months ago, would you have believed they'll finish ahead of WAS?
13. WASHINGTON WIZARDS33-2512
   Ugly.
14. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER32-2614
Russell Westbrook is 4th on my MVP ballot.
15. PHOENIX SUNS31-2815
The question is - how can they find a superstar?
16. NEW ORLEANS PELICANS30-2716
Won 3 straight without Anthony Davis. That's A+ effort.
17. MIAMI HEAT25-3118
Still think they could scare a Toronto in the first round.
18. CHARLOTTE HORNETS23-3217
If last season never happened, this season would be progress.
19. INDIANA PACERS23-3421
I've been resistant to a Paul George return, but why not?
20. BROOKLYN NETS23-3219
It's not fun to say, but Joe Johnson can still score.
21. BOSTON CELTICS22-3320
Odd group who could kind of benefit from making the playoffs.
22. DETROIT PISTONS23-3422
   I think Greg Monroe stays.
23. UTAH JAZZ21-3524
Playing decent basketball, but home losses to Lakers hurt.
24. SACRAMENTO KINGS20-3525
Need a point guard and overall talent upgrade.
25. ORLANDO MAGIC19-4027
Playing much better basketball right now.
26. DENVER NUGGETS20-3723
Disaster. Might fall into bottom 4 record-wise.
27. LOS ANGELES LAKERS15-4126
Two wins in a row. Only 16 behind OKC for 8th!
28. MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES13-4330
Easy choice for improvement as the season ends. Healthy starters.
29. PHILADELPHIA 76ERS12-4528
Assets. Assets. Assets. Sam Hinkie won't say it, but I will.
30. NEW YORK KNICKS10-4629
Like 76ers, it's a process. Lay off Phil Jackson.
