Rockingham, NC (Sports Network) - Kasey Kahne captured the Good Sam Roadside Assistance 200 Camping World Truck Series race Sunday at Rockingham Speedway.
Kahne was completing a weekend of triple-duty racing after finishing seventh in the Sprint Cup Series on Saturday and third in the Nationwide Series on Friday at Texas Motor Speedway.
Kahne claimed his fourth win in five starts in the Camping World Truck Series. To make the victory more impressive, Kahne started the race at the back of the field because of a driver change (Brad Sweet qualified the No. 4 truck while Kahne was in Texas).
James Buescher, Matt Crafton, Johnny Sauter and Timothy Peters completed the top-five.
Kahne took the lead on lap 155 and cruised to victory in the first NASCAR event at the one-mile track since 2004.
Nelson Piquet Jr. started from the pole and dominated early on. But during his last pit stop, a speeding penalty proved costly. He rallied to finish seventh.
