Dover, DE (Sports Network) - Darrell Wallace Jr. earned his first pole in the Nationwide Series after posting the fastest lap in Saturday's qualifying for the OneMain Financial 200 at Dover International Speedway.
Wallace, who is driving the No. 20 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, turned a lap at 155.905 mph for his maiden pole in just his fourth Nationwide start. On Friday, the 18-year-old driver started on the pole and finished second in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race at Dover.
Justin Allgaier claimed the outside pole with a lap at 155.039 mph. Joey Logano, a Sprint Cup Series regular and Wallace's teammate at JGR, qualified third, followed by Elliott Sadler, the current points leader, and Kasey Kahne.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Kyle Busch, Ryan Blaney, Austin Dillon and Paul Menard completed the top-10.
Ryan Truex, who hails from nearby Mayetta, N.J., will start 11th at his home track, while Danica Patrick will roll off from 25th. Truex finished second to Logano in the June 2 Nationwide race here.
Sadler holds a four-point advantage over Stenhouse. Dillon, who won last weekend's race at Kentucky, is 19 points out of the lead.
David Starr, Morgan Shepherd and Mike Harmon failed to qualify for Saturday's 200-mile race at Dover, which is scheduled to start just after 3:30 p.m. (ET).
