Insight: He's not injured, the team just decided he needs a day off. It's a smart move considering he has gone 4-for-22 (.182) against Phillies starter Cliff Lee. LaRoche had a .307 average and a .923 OPS at the end of June, but he's hit .161 with one homer in July and is now hitting .267 with an .800 OPS on the season.
