"All Others" top choice in first Derby Future Wager

Louisville, KY (Sports Network) - The mutuel field, comprising 3-year-old horses not listed individually, closed as the favorite in the first of three Kentucky Derby Future Wagers of 2013. The 139th Kentucky Derby will be conducted on Saturday, May 4 at Churchill Downs.

The Future Wager had 24 betting interests comprising 23 individual horses and the mutuel field of "All Others" 3-year-old horses. Betting finished Sunday at 6 p.m. (ET) after beginning Friday.

"All Others" opened as the 9-5 favorite and closed at 8-5. Since the Derby Future bet was introduced in 1999, the mutuel field has been the Pool 1 favorite in each of the 15 years.
