A Rocknroll Dance versus seven in Messenger Stakes
Yonkers, NY (Sports Network) - A Rocknroll Dance, winner of the Meadowlands Pace, will take on seven rivals in Saturday's $415,820 Messenger Stakes, the final jewel of the Pacing Triple Crown. The approximate post-time will be 9:35 p.m. (ET).
Trained by co-owner Jim Mulinix, A Rocknroll Dance has won four of 18 starts this year with five seconds for $1,011,464. The colt is one of five 3-year-old pacing millionaires this year. A Rocknroll Dance will be driven by Dave Miller from post three.
Back at Yonkers is Pet Rock, winner of the Art Rooney Pace. The colt will be driven by George Brennan from the seven-hole. Pet Rock won the Rooney Pace in a stakes and track record for his age group of 1:51. The 3-year-old pacer has won seven of 18 starts this year for $690,563.
Starting from the inside post will be Hillbilly Hanover who is winless in 19 races this year but has earned $236,503. The gelding will be driven by Jim Morrill Jr.

No Pan Intended was the last Pacing Triple Crown champ in 2003.
