NOTES:The LPGA Tour travels to Malaysia this week for the Sime Darby LPGA
Malaysia. This event is being held on the East Course at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club. It is the first of four consecutive events in Asia for the LPGA Tour. The top 10 players in the world are in the field, led by world No. 1 Yani Tseng.

Tseng has three victories this year on the LPGA Tour, but has not won since March and has not had a top-10 finish since May. World No. 2 and top American Stacy Lewis is also in the field. Lewis and Tseng are the only players with three wins in 2012. Lewis is second on the money list, trailing Inbee Park by $71,012. Lewis also leads the tour in top-10 finishes with 14, which is three more than any other player. World No. 3 Jiyai Shin will be trying to win her third straight event this week. Shin captured the Kingsmill Championship and Ricoh Women's British Open in her last two outings.

The 2010 tournament was the first time that an LPGA Tour event was staged in Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club has hosted the Maybank Malaysian Open on the European Tour four times. Charlie Wi captured the title at Kuala Lumpur in 2006; Seung-yul Noh in 2010; Matteo Manassero in 2011; and Louis Oosthuizen this year.

Last year, Na Yeon Choi bested Tseng by a stroke to earn her only win of 2011. Choi shot rounds of 66-68-67-68 to finish at 15-under 269. Tseng fired a course record-tying 6-under 65 in the final round, but came up one shot short.

In 2010, Jimin Kang fired a 6-under 65 in the final round to come from behind and win. Kang, who collected her second LPGA Tour win, finished at 9-under-par 204. Juli Inkster bogeyed the last to take second place at minus-eight, costing herself her first wince since 2006.

The LPGA Tour heads to South Korea next week for the LPGA KEB - HanaBank Championship, where Tseng will defend her title.
