Jutanugarn on top by 3 at Q-School

Daytona Beach, FL (Sports Network) - Moriya Jutanugarn fired a 6-under 66 on Thursday to move three strokes clear of the field after two rounds of the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament.

Jutanugarn, the stage I winner, finished 36 holes at 10-under-par 134. She was one of three leaders after round one.

Lacey Agnew carded a 5-under 67 to move into second place at minus-7. Christina Kim, a 2-time winner on the LPGA Tour, also shot 67 to move into third place at 5-under-par 139.

Kim Welch, who shared the first-round lead with Jutanugarn and Kathleen Ekey, managed an even-par 72. She dropped into a tie for fourth at minus-4 with Ayako Uehara (70).

Ekey tripped to a 1-over 73 to slide into a share of sixth at 3-under-par 141. She stands alongside Laura Diaz (71), Kelly Jacques (71), Austin Ernst (71), Ashleigh Simon (72), Stephanie Sherlock (70) and Chie Arimura (71).

The top 40 finishers and ties will earn a tour card for next season. The top 20 players at the event's conclusion will receive Priority in Category 12. If there is a tie for 20th place, the final Category 12 spot will decided in a playoff.

All other ties will be broken on the basis of the lowest, most recent round at the Final Qualifying Tournament. Players finishing in the 21st-45th spots will earn Priority in Category 17.

Players are rotating the first four rounds on the Champions and Legends Courses at LPGA International. The final round will be contested on the Champions Course.

Jutanugarn played the back nine of the Champions Course first on Thursday. She started with four pars in a row before converting a birdie effort at the 14th.

The 2011 U.S. Women's Amateur runner-up stumbled to bogeys at 15 and 16. She moved back to even-par for her round with a birdie at the 18th.

Jutanugarn birdied the first three holes around the turn to make it four straight birdies. She moved back into the lead at 8-under with a birdie on the par-5 fifth. Jutanugarn birdied her final two holes to end three clear of the field.

Sara Brown and Brooke Pancake are among four players tied for 13th at 2-under- par 142.

NOTES: There are five amateurs in field and Marita Engzelius (71) leads that group at 1-under-par 143 ... After 72 holes, the field is cut to the top 70 and ties.
