Shin up to 5th in world rankings

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Jiyai Shin's historic victory Sunday at the Women's British Open moved her up five more spots this week in the world rankings.

After her 9-hole playoff win on Monday of last week got her to 10th, Shin, who won by nine strokes at Royal Liverpool, is up to fifth this week.

Yani Tseng remained in first, followed by Na Yeon Choi, who inched up one to second, Stacy Lewis, who fell a spot to third, Shanshan Feng and Shin.

Ai Miyazato slid one to sixth and Inbee Park, who finished a distant second to Shin at the Women's British Open, rose two to No. 7. Suzann Pettersen slipped two to eighth, followed by Sun Ju Ahn and Mika Miyazato.

Amy Yang sank four places to 11th this week. So Yeon Ryu and Paula Creamer, who lost to Shin at the Kingsmill Championship and took third at Royal Liverpool, both climbed a spot. Cristie Kerr fell two and is down to 14th and I.K. Kim held on to the 15th ranking.

Azahara Munoz and Angela Stanford both moved up a spot with Brittany Lincicome down two to 18th. Chie Arimura and Karrie Webb rounded out the top 20.
