NOTES: One of the most storied events in USGA history. Past winners of this
event are some of the greatest names in golf, led by Bobby Jones, Arnold
Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods. Last year, Matthew
Fitzpatrick defeated Oliver Goss, 4 & 3, to capture the championship at The
Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts. Fitzpatrick turned professional
earlier this year following the U.S. Open, where he tied for 48th.
