ATLANTA (26-34) AT LA CLIPPERS (43-20), 10:30 PM (ET)
Two teams going in opposite directions. Atlanta has lost five in a row and 13
of its last 14 while the Clippers have won six consecutive games and nine of
their last 11. Furthermore, Los Angeles is 6-0 against the spread in its last
six and the Hawks are 0-5 against the spread in their last five. Incidentally,
Atlanta has covered just one game since Feb. 1, a span of 14 contests.
However, the Hawks have won seven of the last nine meetings while covering
three of the last four matchups. On the other hand, LA is 2-0 both SU and ATS
the last two meetings at Staples Center.
Tonight's spread is a large one at 14.5 points, and for all the losing the
Hawks have done, they have lost by 15 points in just one of their last six
games. The Clippers are coming off a 48-point victory over the Lakers. They
blew out the 76ers by 45 about a month ago and then won their next game by
