Donovan McNabb will do a lot of running behind the Redskins' offensive line.
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - It's been a slow off-season in the world of NFL free agency as far as fantasy players goes. Most of the changes have been to "past-their-prime" running backs and quarterbacks. If not for the Donovan McNabb trade, this off-season would be a cure for insomnia.

Let's look at some of the changes so far.

Donovan McNabb (Philadelphia - Washington) - McNabb goes to a team with offensive line troubles and less talent at receiver. He'll make Santana Moss, Devin Thomas and Chris Cooley better, but he also better hope his legs are healthy because he'll be running for his life behind the Redskins' offensive line. Still, he'll be better than Campbell and a low-end fantasy starter (ADP 82.6).

Derek Anderson (Cleveland - Arizona) - It's Matt Leinart's job to lose in Arizona, but on the off chance that it happens, if you draft Leinart, you must handcuff Anderson. Whoever is the starting quarterback for the Cardinals should put up solid fantasy points with those receivers (Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Breaston and Early Doucet.

Jake Delhomme (Carolina - Cleveland) - If you are even thinking about Delhomme on your roster, you're in danger of a mental breakdown. The Browns will live and die by the ground game with Jerome Harrison, James Davis and Josh Cribbs.

Thomas Jones (New York Jets - Kansas City) - Jones will be strictly a backup to Jamaal Charles. He'll get around 10 carries a games, although he could be the designated goal-line running back.

Chester Taylor (Minnesota - Chicago) - The Bears still believe Matt Forte is their No.1 running back, but they're paying a lot of money to Taylor ($12.7 million) so you have to assume that this could easily become a split-back situation. Like Jones, Taylor could also be the goal-line back.

Willie Parker (Pittsburgh - Washington) - The Redskins and new coach Mike Shanahan seem to be accumulating old running backs, whose best days are behind them. At this point, no one can tell who will get the carries between Parker, Clinton Portis and Larry Johnson.

Larry Johnson (Cincinnati - Washington) - The Redskins and new coach Mike Shanahan seem to be accumulating old running backs, who's best days are behind them. At this point, no one can tell who will get the carries between Parker, Portis and Johnson.

LaDainian Tomlinson (San Diego - New York Jets) - The Jets running game belongs to Shonn Greene and Tomlinson is strictly an "insurance policy." If you draft Greene, which right now will require you to invest a No.2 choice-or-better (ADP 16.9) you must handcuff "LT" (ADP 94.1) with him

Antonio Bryant (Tampa Bay - Cincinnati) - After a "monster" 2008 (83 receptions for 1,248 yards, 7 TDs), Bryant was a huge disappointment in 2009. Now he'll play "second banana" to Chad Ochocinco in Cincinnati and you should lower his expectations drastically.

Nate Burleson (Seattle - Detroit) - Burleson will also play the "second banana" role to Lions' superstar Calvin Johnson in Detroit. If he can stay healthy, he should be able to give you solid value for the pick (ADP 145.1)

Ben Watson (New England - Cleveland) - Without Tom Brady as his quarterback, Watson's value will plummet faster than Tiger Woods' marketing value. He won't be in the top-25 at his position on Draft Day.

And there's not much left on the "free-agent shelf" either, making this year's NFL Draft all the more important. The "best" of the remaining unrestricted free agents include: Terrell Owens, Brian Westbrook, Muhsin Muhammad, Kevin Jones, Jamal Lewis, Justin Fargas, Javon Walker, Joey Galloway, Ladell Betts and Kyle Boller. Like I said, the pickings are slim this year.
