Britt catching on fast
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Kenny Britt wasn't the first, second or even third wide receiver selected in April's NFL Draft, but he might end up being one of the best rookies this season.

If the first preseason game is any indication, Britt, the sixth wide receiver selected, is quickly fitting into the Tennessee Titans offense.

Despite being known for it's running game, the Titans used Britt frequently and the former Rutgers star caught five balls for 89 yards including a pretty 37- yard touchdown reception from Vince Young.

Britt was the only wideout to catch more than one ball on Saturday as the team featured Britt and fellow rookie, tight end, Jared Cook from South Carolina.

Because the Titans were so run-oriented in 2008, the Tennessee passing game has largely been ignored by fantasy owners. Chris Johnson (RapidDraft ADP 10.7) and LenDale White (ADP 63) are quickly being snapped up, but Justin Gage (ADP 122), Bo Scaife (ADP 187.7), Britt (ADP 189.6) and Kerry Collins (ADP 241.8) are barely getting any notice, not that they have earned much off last season.

Collins only threw the ball when he had to, posting just 2,676 yards and 12 TDs against seven interceptions. Gage had just 34 receptions for 651 yards and six scores while Scaife hauled in 58 balls for 561 yards and two scores. None of those numbers are "fantasy worthy."

The Titans did go out and sign Pittsburgh Steelers No.3 wide receiver Nate Washington (40-631-3) and draft Britt, so perhaps they are planning to throw the ball more often this season to prevent defenses from ganging up on the running game.

If Tennessee does pass more than in 2008 when they were 27th-best at 176.2 yards-per-game, Britt could be a bargain as a 15th-round selection.
