Description: Sabres defenseman Andrej Meszaros scored a pair of goals in the loss to the Avalanche on Saturday.
Insight: Meszaros isn't likely on many fantasy teams, but he did have a good Saturday. He had four shots on net and finished plus-one despite his team losing, 5-3. Meszaros has five goals and six assists in 53 games this season.
Description: Penguins defenseman Kris Letang went to the hospital to be evaluated after taking a hit from Shane Doan.
Insight: On the same day Pittsburgh regains Patrick Hornqvist and Evgeni Malkin, the Penguins lose Letang. There is no indication as to how serious his injury is, but Letang's history would suggest the Penguins will be extremely cautious.
Description: Canucks defenseman Alexander Edler scored the game-winning goal in Vancouver's, 3-1, victory over the Coyotes on Sunday.
Insight: Edler scored on the power play at the 16:47 mark of the third period to break the, 1-1, tie. Henrik Sedin added an empty net goal as insurance. Edler led the team with five shots on net. He has seven goals and 14 assists in 64 games this season.
Description: Lightning defenseman Matt Carle had two assists in the, 5-3, victory over the Bruins on Sunday.
Insight: Carle had assists on J.T. Brown's goal in the first period and then Jason Garrison's score in the second period. Carle has four goals and 13 assists with a plus-13 rating in 50 games this season.
T.J. Fast, D
3/21/2015 9:40:00 PM
Description: Rangers forward T.J. Fast scored a goal Saturday versus Carolina.
Insight: Fast is not a relevant fantasy option with just four goals and 11 points through 46 games this season.
Description: Ducks defenseman Sami Vatanen returned from his leg injury on Friday and got right back into the swing of things.
Insight: Vatanen had missed 15 games, but posted an assist on Corey Perry's goal. He has 12 goals and 23 assists in 58 games this season and is the point man on the Ducks power play. Make sure he's back in your lineup.
Description: Penguins defenseman Kris Letang scored the only goal for Pittsburgh in the, 2-1, loss to the Stars on Thursday.
Insight: The lack of scoring is getting a little ridiculous for Pittsburgh. The Penguins have scored two goals in the last 12 periods. Evgeni Malkin, Sidney Crosby and Patric Hornqvist haven't played in all of those 12 periods, but it is still embarrassing. Letang led the team with seven shots on Thursday. He has 11 goals and 42 assists with a plus-12 rating in 65 games this season.
