Description: Left winger Patrick Maroon scored a power-play goal, but he failed to score in several great chances towards the end of the third period in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals on Wednesday.
Insight: Maroon scored Anaheim's first goal of the night, but teammates set him up on several great chances right in front of the net, and Maroon just missed. Despite the goal, Maroon was minus-three in the game. The Blackhawks won, 5-2. Game 7 will be on Saturday.
Description: Ducks defenseman Sami Vatanen scored once in the first period and assisted on the game-winner in the third period.
Insight: Vatanen missed 15 games, but still posted 12 goals and 25 assists during the regular season with 17 of those points on the power play. He has played just as well in the "second season" with three goals and seven assists in 14 playoff games.
Description: Ducks winger Corey Perry scored a goal in the Game 4 loss in the Western Conference Finals against the Blackhawks on Saturday.
Insight: Perry scored the Ducks third goal in a 37-second span in the middle of the third period. He was camped in front of the net and finished a rebound that bounced off Corey Crawford. Perry's goal put Anaheim ahead, 4-3, but Chicago came back to tie the game and win it in overtime. Perry was also plus-one with six shots on net.

Insight: Perry also had a couple chances to end Game 2 in overtime but failed to capitalize on the opportunities. This was his first point of the season. He now has eight goals and 16 points in 11 postseason games this spring.

Insight: Andersen and his counterpart, Corey Crawford, were just sensational. Chicago didn't score on even strength until the game-winning goal. Both teams had so many opportunities in overtime, and the goalies made the save after save. Andersen has been outstanding this postseason. He is 9-2 with a .933 save percentage.
Description: Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf had two assists in the Game 3 loss in the Western Conference Semifinals on Tuesday against the Flames.
Insight: Ironically, Getzlaf has been on fire in the series versus the Flames. He has a goal and seven assists in the three games versus Calgary. Getzlaf had an assist on Patrick Maroon's goal and Corey Perry's score in the second period. In seven postseason games this year, Getzlaf has two goals and 10 assists.
Description: Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf had a goal and an assist in the regular season finale against the Coyotes.
Insight: Getzlaf finished the season with 25 goals, 45 assists, 62 penalty minutes and a plus-15 rating, but fantasy owners were hoping for more scoring. He had 70 points in 77 games. Last season, Getzlaf had 87 points in 77 games.
Description: Ducks goaltender Frederik Andersen allowed just one goal in the, 2-1, victory over the Coyotes in the season finale.
Insight: Andersen made 23 saves in the victory. He hit a road bump, allowing four goals to the Stars on Wednesday, but Andersen has been solid lately. He has allowed two goals or fewer in four of his last five starts. Andersen will probably be the starting goaltender for the top-seeded Ducks in the playoffs.
Description: Ducks goalie John Gibson will start on Friday against the Avalanche according to the Orange County Register.
Insight: Gibson and Frederik Andersen should split the starts the last week with Andersen having the slight edge to receiving the first playoff start, but if Gibson plays well, he could definitely earn some playoff starts.

Insight: Andersen has won two straight games since the debacle where he allowed three goals on seven shots in New York. In the second period on Saturday, Andersen helped the Ducks kill a long 5-on-3 Islanders power play. He is 33-11-5 this season.
Description: Ducks center Ryan Kesler scored in the, 5-3, loss to the Blue Jackets on Tuesday.
Insight: Kesler had three shots on net, scoring on the power play in the first period. Anaheim actually took a, 2-0, lead and then lead, 3-2, but Columbus scored the final three goals of the game. Kesler has 19 goals and 27 assists in 75 games this season.
Description: Ducks winger Corey Perry scored his 30th and 31st goal of the season on Sunday night versus the Rangers.
Insight: Perry was about the only bright spot for the Ducks as Anaheim lost to the New York Rangers, 7-2. Somehow, Perry managed to finish plus-one and led the team with eight shots on net. He has 19 assists with his 31 goals and plus-15 rating in 59 games this season. Perry is ninth in the league in goals scored.
Description: Ducks defenseman Sami Vatanen returned from his leg injury on Friday and got right back into the swing of things.
Insight: Vatanen had missed 15 games, but posted an assist on Corey Perry's goal. He has 12 goals and 23 assists in 58 games this season and is the point man on the Ducks power play. Make sure he's back in your lineup.
Description: Ducks winger Corey Perry scored his 27th goal of the season on Sunday night.
Insight: Perry continues to produce for fantasy owners, however he actually has not lived up to expectations this season. After coming into 2014-15 as the third-ranked player, he is just a top-60 option at the moment.
Description: Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf scored a goal during Saturday's victory over the Oilers.
Insight: Francois Beauchemin also lit the lamp for Anaheim, as the Ducks won 2-1. Getzlaf keeps trucking along, with 19 goals, 57 points, 45 penalty minutes, and a plus-10 rating through 57 games this season.
Description: Anaheim Ducks winger Matt Beleskey will miss 2-4 weeks with an upper-body injury
Insight: Beleskey has 21 goals and 30 points through 56 games this season, both career marks. The Ducks have a lot of talent off the ice right now as Beleskey joins D Sami Vatanen and G Frederik Andersen on the sidelines.

Insight: Despite missing more time, the fact he skated was a good sign. Andersen has not played since the net fell on him last week. The Ducks have missed him as they have allowed seven goals in the two games Andersen has missed. He is 29-8-5 with a 2.37 GAA and .916 save percentage this season.
Description: The Ducks pulled starting goalie Ilya Bryzgalov on Tuesday after he allowed three goals on eight shots versus the Panthers.
Insight: John Gibson replaced him at about the five minute mark of the second period. Gibson allowed three of his own goals on 18 shots, so he didn't exactly run away with the goaltending job either. As soon as Frederik Andersen can play again, he will certainly be in net.

Insight: Perry has continued to remain productive picking up four assists in the last five games, including an assist on the power play versus the Blackhawks on Friday. Owners, however, would like to see Perry find the back of the net again. He has 19 goals and 13 assists in 35 games this season.

Description: Jets center Mathieu Perreault left Friday's game with an undisclosed injury and will not return according to the team's twitter page.
Insight: Too bad. Perrault was one of our reccommended pickups with him scoring four goals on Tuesday. He has been on fire with points in 16 of 19 games since the start of December. Hopefully he isn't out too long.
Description: Jets center Mathieu Perreault scored four goals in Winnipeg's offensive explosion versus the Panthers on Tuesday.
Insight: Perreault had a hat trick before the game was halfway over and added another score about a minute after his third. Perreault was also plus-four. He has 15 goals and 13 assists in 43 games this season.
Description: Ducks goalie Ilya Bryzgalov will start in the pipes for Anaheim on Wednesday against the Rangers.
Insight: He probably isn't owned by many owners based on his performance in his previous two appearances this season. Bryzgalov lost his only start, 6-2, to the Senators and then allowed two goals on seven shots in a relief outing. He has a .789 save percentage and a 6.40 GAA in the two games.

Insight: Andersen made 28 saves and stopped the first three shootout attempts he faced, but he did allow the fourth shootout attempt to get past him as the Ducks lost, 2-1. Andersen is 19-5-4 and his 19 victories still has him ranked second in the league.

Insight: Andersen made 23 saves and allowed just one goal in the, 2-1, victory over the Canadiens. It was a nice way to see him respond after he allowed four goals in 45 minutes on Tuesday. Prior to that, Anderson won his last seven starts. In December, Andersen is 8-1-0.

Insight: Andersen has won his last six starts as the Ducks are on a seven-game winning streak. Over that streak, Andersen's numbers haven't been that impressive as the Ducks offense has really carried them. Andersen has a .914 save percentage and a 2.40 GAA.

Insight: He made 21 saves on 23 shots, and has now won six consecutive games. Anderson is an early candidate for the Vezina Trophy, as he sports a 16-4-4 record, with a 2.44 GAA and .913 save percentage.

Insight: He had a goal and an assist, along with three shots on goal, four penalty minutes, and a plus-one rating. Another solid season for Getzlaf, who now has nine goals and 31 points through 30 games.

Insight: Perry had an MRI done which revealed a sprained knee. Kyle Palmieri is likey to play on the top line with Ryan Getzlaf. Perry leads the Ducks with 14 goals and is tied for second with 22 points in 23 games.

Insight: Perry did not return to the game. The good news is he will travel with the team to Winnipeg rather than return to Anaheim, but he must still be evaluated until we completely let out a sign of relief. An update should come in the next day or two.

Insight: Perry was minus-five in his first two games after he came off injured reserve. In his last three games, Perry is plus-two with a goal and an assist. It is safe to put Perry back in the starting lineup.

Insight: Kesler gave the Ducks a 2-1 lead over the Kings at the end of the second period. Anaheim, however, allowed a power-play goal halfway through the third period, and the Kings won in overtime. The Kings and Ducks split the home-and-home series this week.
Description: With the news that John Gibson is out for up to six weeks, it's imperative that Ducks goaltender Frederik Andersen return from his leg issues.
Insight: Andersen practiced Tuesday. He is 7-1-0 with a 1.60 GAA and .941 save percentage. In the meantime, Jason LaBarbera would be the obvious option after stepping in for Gibson Tuesday and beating Colorado 3-2.
Description: Ducks defensive prospect Shea Theodore is still a week-or-two away from returning to the ice.
Insight: Theodore suffered a ulnar collateral ligament sprain at the start of training camp. Originally, he was supposed to return in four-to-six weeks, but it has already been seven. If you kept him on your squad this long, you might as well keep waiting. He should be back soon and had 79 points in 70 WHL Games last season.
Description: Ducks goalie John Gibson shutout the Blackhawks on Tuesday, stopping all 38 shots he faced, for his first shutout of the season.
Insight: Gibson allowed six goals in the season opener against Pittsburgh, but voluntarily went down to the minors to work on a few things. Apparently he fixed the problems. Gibson is a must-add in all standard formats.
Description: Ducks winger Corey Perry scored his league-leading ninth goal of the season on Friday against the Blue Jackets.
Insight: Perry scored on the power play on passes from Sami Vatanen and Cam Fowler early in the first period. Perry then assisted Devante Smith-Pelly's goal in the second period. The Ducks won, 4-1. Perry is tied for the league lead with 12 points.

Insight: He scored a goal and was +1 on the night, and now has five goals and seven points through five games. There is no reason to think that Perry is going to slow dowm, as it is looking like he is well on his way to a monster season.

Insight: Beleskey is playing on the top line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry and fantasy owners should take advantage of this opportunity because it won't last long. on. Dany Heatley could return in about a week and re-take his spot on the top line.
Description: Ducks goaltender Frederik Andersen stopped 39-of-42 shots against the Flyers on Tuesday.
Insight: Anaheim is splitting time between Andersen and fellow goaltender John Gibson to start the season. Gibson had a couple qustionable starts, so it is nice to see Andersen play well. He posted a .929 save percentage on Tuesday.
Description: Anaheim defenseman Sami Vatanen ran the point on the potent Ducks power play on Thursday night.
Insight: The Ducks scored three times on the power play against the Pittsburgh Penguins and Vatanen earned assists on two of them. Anaheim went with four forwards and just Vatanen as the one defenseman on the man advantage. Vatanen's fantasy value is through the roof if he remains with this unit.
Description: Ducks center Ryan Kesler had two assists in his Anaheim debut in Pittsburgh on Thursday.
Insight: Kesler played over four minutes on the power play, which is certainly encouraging for his fantasy owners. Both of his assists came with the man advantage. Kesler's fantasy value greatly rises if he can continue to play with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry on the power play.
Description: Ducks winger Corey Perry registered his sixth-career hat trick as the Ducks lost to the Penguins, 6-4, on Thursday.
Insight: Perry took advantage of a Marc-Andre Fleury mishap to score his first goal. Fleury left his crease to play the puck and turned it over to Ducks' Patrick Maroon, who then found Perry wide open in front of the net. Perry also scored twice on the power play. Despite the three points, he finished with a minus-one rating.
Description: Winger Patrick Maroon is practicing on the first line with center Ryan Getzlaf and winger Corey Perry.
Insight: Maroon is taking the place of the injured Dany Heatley, who is out with a groin injury. Maroon is a player worth keeping an eye on because there is no timetable for Heatley's return. If Maroon plays well, he may even stay on the first line when Heatley does return.
Description: Ducks right wing Kyle Palmieri suffered a high ankle sprain to his right leg and is expected to miss about two weeks.
Insight: That timetable would return him to the lineup just around opening day. He had 14 goals and 17 assists in 71 games last season - not everyday start-worthy, but a nice fill-in option for fantasy owners.
