Description: Rangers winger Rick Nash has scored another goal in Tuesday's overtime win against New Jersey.
Insight: It is already his eighth goal of the season. Nash seems unstoppable right now, which is music to owners ears. Kevin Klein notched the OT winner for the Rangers, to take down their division rival.
Description: Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist allowed six goals for a second straight start on Tuesday.
Insight: Lundqvist stopped just 18-of-24 shots against the Maple Leafs on Sunday. He did slightly better on Tuesday, turning aside 21 out of 27 shots from the Islanders, but his save percentage was still well below .800. Lundqvist is in some obvious funk, but fantasy owners should by no means panic.
Description: Rangers winger Rick Nash has scored in each of the first four games of this season.
Insight: Nash leads the NHL with six goals after just four games. He scored two more times on Tuesday against the Islanders for the only goals the Rangers had on the night. Nash will obviously not be able to maintain this production, but the Rangers and fantasy owners alike love the fast start.
Description: It was a night to forget for Rangers netminder Henrik Lundqvist as he gave up six goals on 24 shots.
Insight: Lundqvist was pulled in the second period. We have no doubts he'll be a top goaltender again this season, this was just one of those days. He's won 53.8 percent of his games over his career and has won at least 30 games every season except the 2012-13 48-game campaign.
Description: Rangers netminder Henrik Lundqvist will be in goal Sunday, after getting the night off against Columbus.
Insight: Cam Talbot starting in Saturday's loss to the Blue Jackets, but will give way to New York's star goalie against Toronto.. Lundqvist earned the victory in his first start of the season, turning away 25-of-27 shots on goal.
Description: Rangers winger Rick Nash had a big game in the opener.
Insight: He had the game-winning goal in New York's 3-2 victory over the Blues. Nash had three total points (2 goals, 1 assist), four shots on goal, and a +2 rating on Thursday. Solid start to the 2014-15 season.
Description: Rangers winger Carl Hagelin will top last year's 15 goals and 16 assists numbers.
Insight: We expect a lot from Hagelin, who is one of the fastest players in the NHL. There is a chance that he will play with Mats Zuccarello and Derick Brassard this year. If that happens, we like the combination of Haelin's speed and Zuccarello's grittiness to score a bunch of goals.
Description: Rangers left wing Mats Zuccarello had a breakout season last year, so now fans are wondering if he can repeat that success.
Insight: Zuccarello scored 19 goals and had 40 assists playing with Benoit Pouliot and Derick Brassard last season. He will again play with Brassard, but Pouliot left via free agency. The pair will likely be a part of the Rangers second line, but stay tuned because they could also end up in a checking-line role. Either way, Zuccarello is worth stashing on your team.
Description: Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonaugh really surprised fans with the amount of offensive production last season.
Insight: McDonaugh scored 14 goals and 43 points while adding another four goals and 17 points in the playoffs a year ago. He had the opportunity to play more offense and he took advantage. Veteran free agent signee Dan Boyle will likely take a part of that role away from McDonaugh this season, but McDonaugh is still expected to about 13 goals and 30 assists.
Description: Rangers winger Martin St. Louis' fantasy value will greatly depend on linemate Rick Nash.
Insight: St. Louis disappointed Rangers fans with just eight points in 19 games after the trade deadline move last year. He then scored 15 points in 25 playoffs games. Not bad, but considering St. Louis has averaged a point per game over the course of seven seasons, it's not particularly good. St. Louis misses playing with Steven Stamkos and will need Nash to reemerge as a great scorer to make St. Louis a top fantasy forward.
Description: Rangers winger Rick Nash should be a player owners can pick late on draft day.
Insight: Nash had a below average regular season which turned into a horrible playoffs last year. He had 39 points in 65 games and then just three goals in 25 playoffs games. We believe Nash can bounce back, but owners should not be picking him early. Take the upside he offers late in the draft.
Description: Rangers winger Chris Kreider is poised for a breakout fantasy season in 2014-2015.
Insight: Kreider has had problems staying on the ice, but when playing, he might be the best offensive force the Rangers have. He scored 13 points in 15 playoffs games despite missing time with injuries. Kreider will miss Stepan the first part of the season, but he is still a guy owners want in their lineup.
Description: Rangers center Derek Stepan played three fewer minutes per game under first-year head coach Alain Vigneault last season.
Insight: Stephan fractured his fibula last week, so his fantasy value has already taken a huge hit, but even before the injury, his value was slightly dipping. Stepan really struggled last season, and there were questions about the Rangers depth chart coming into training camp. The injury certainly does not help Stepan's cause.
Description: Rangers center Derek Stepan fractured his fibula and will be out four-to-six weeks according to the Bergen Record.
Insight: Stepan will likely miss the first seven games of the regular season, but it should take much longer for him to get back into the swing of things. Missing training camp is never a good thing. Even if he returns in four weeks, his fantasy value has taken a hit.
Description: Brad Richards has been bought out by the Rangers. SOURCE: Nick Kypreos, Sportsnet
Insight: It's not unexpected and the move frees up nearly $7 million in cap room for New York. Richards was productive during his three-year stay in Manhattan, generating 56 goals and 95 assists in 210 games for the Blue Shirts. This season marked Richards' second trip to the Stanley Cup after winning it with the Lightning in 2004.
Description: On appeal, New York left wing Daniel Carcillo had his suspension reduced from ten games to six. SOURCE: NHL.com

Description: Henrik Lundqvist shook off a brutal outing in Game 5 to shut out Montreal in the Rangers' series-clinching win Thursday at Madison Square Garden.
Insight: New York is headed to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1994. Lundqvist has saved a remarkable 92.2 percent of the shots he's faced this postseason. The Rangers will face the winner of the Blackhawks/Kings series that resumes tomorrow night in Los Angeles.
Description: Rangers rookie center J.T. Miller is doubtful for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final Tuesday against Montreal due to an upper body injury (shoulder).
Insight: He didn't travel with the team to Montreal for Game 5 and its unclear whether he'll be ready for this game. Miller has posted six points in 30 regular season games and two points in four playoff games.
Description: New York defenseman John Moore has been suspended for the last two games of the Eastern Conference Finals. Moore received a game misconduct for a high hit on Montreal right wing Dale Weise Tuesday in Game 5. SOURCE: NHL.com
Insight: If the Rangers clinch in Game 6, Moore will be suspended for the opening game of the Stanley Cup Finals. Moore has averaged 14 minutes of ice time per game in the postseason.
Description: Rangers center Derek Stepan (jaw) will not play in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals against Montreal.
Insight: Stepan broke his jaw in Game 3 when he took a high hit from Brandon Prust. It's possible he'll miss the rest of the postseason, though a couple of Montreal players have expressed doubt about the severity of Stepan's injury.
Description: According to Montreal right wing Brendan Gallagher, the Canadiens are expecting New York center Derek Stepan to suit up Sunday in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. SOURCE: National Post
Insight: Stepan broke his jaw a little over 48 hours ago so this would be an incredibly fast recovery. If Stepan does play on Sunday, he'll obviously have to wear some sort of protection to cover up his face.
Description: Rangers center Derick Brassard (undisclosed) is questionable for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Canadiens, according to espn.com.
Insight: Mike Weaver crushed Brassard with an open-ice hit from behind in Game 1 and Brassard appeared to hurt his back. Brassard said he didn't feel like he could help the team after the hit and that he's "not sure" if he'll play in Game 2.
Description: At long last, Rangers winger Rick Nash has scored a goal in the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Insight: Nash had just five points, all assists, in the team's first 14 games this postseason. He came up with a goal and an assist in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals Saturday against Montreal.
Description: Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist made 35 saves on 36 shots in Game 7 of New York's second-round series against the Pittsburgh Penguins to get his team into the Eastern Conference Finals.
Insight: Lundqvist brought New York back from a 3-1 series deficit by making 102 saves on 105 shots (.971) the last three games. The 32-year-old netminder has a superb .931 SV% in 14 starts this postseason and has picked up two Game 7 victories.
Description: New York goalie Henrik Lundqvist was phenomenal Sunday in a Game 6 win over Pittsburgh.
Insight: The Penguins peppered him with 37 shots but Lundqvist saved 36 of them, his most so far this postseason. The Rangers have momentum but Pittsburgh has home ice advantage for Tuesday night's series finale.
Description: New York right wing Martin St. Louis found the net for the first time this series Sunday in a Game 6 win over Pittsburgh.
Insight: St. Louis was playing with a heavy heart after the passing of his mother earlier this week. The four shots on goal he tallied were his most since Game 5 of the Flyers series. Somehow, the Rangers have erased a 3-1 deficit and are now tied with the Penguins at three games a piece heading into Tuesday's deciding Game 7 in Pittsburgh.
Description: Rangers winger Rick Nash scored the game-winning goal Thursday against Buffalo 18:18 into the third period.
Insight: It has been a highly disappointing season for Nash, as he missed nearly six weeks due to a concussion and has generated just 39 points (26 G, 13 A) in 64 games. The winger has provided fantasy owners with a measly 12 points in his last 27 games.
Description: Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh (shoulder) will not play Thursday, according to Andrew Gross of the Bergen Record.
Insight: McDonagh (14 G, 29 A) suffered a shoulder injury on April 1 against the Canucks and hasn't played since. Coach Alain Vigneault says it's still "50-50" McDonagh makes it back for the regular season finale Saturday.
Description: Rangers backup goaltender Cam Talbot shut out the Oilers Sunday night.
Insight: The rookie has outplayed starter Henrik Lundqvist this season and is 12-6-0 with a 1.67 GAA, a .940 SV% and three shutouts. Lundqvist gave up four goals Friday but has otherwise played pretty well lately, so we probably won't see Talbot start more than one of New York's last six games.
Description: Rangers center Derick Brassard snapped a string of eight straight games without a point by collecting two goals and an assist Tuesday at Ottawa.
Insight: Immediately prior to the eight-game drought, Brassard had an eight-game points streak in which he had five goals and five assists. The 26-year-old has 15 goals and 24 assists (39 points) in 69 games this season.
Description: Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist shut out the Red Wings Sunday in a 3-0 win.
Insight: Johan Franzen and Gustav Nyquist have been doing an admirable job keeping Detroit's offense afloat with Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk injured, but Lundqvist shut them down. He had a 3.77 GAA and an .872 SV% in his first four starts of March after posting a 1.91 GAA and a .937 SV% in January and February.
Description: Rangers winger Mats Zuccarello will be a game-time decision on Friday against Carolina. SOURCE: Bergen Record.
Insight: Zuccarello (15 goals, 28 assists in 58 contests) injured his hand while representing Norway at the Sochi Olympics. He had been on a six-game point streak prior to getting hurt and has missed the past four games.
Description: Martin St. Louis has arrived in Toronto for Wednesday's game and will be available to play for the Rangers, according to Mitch Kerzner of TSN.
Insight: St. Louis was traded from the Tampa Bay Lightning to the New York Rangers in exchange for Ryan Callahan and draft picks on Wednesday morning. He proved that he can still produce with anyone on his line, as he has put up 29 goals and 61 points in 62 games despite superstar center Steven Stamkos missing most of the year.
Description: The Rangers have acquired Martin St. Louis from the Tampa Bay Lightning for Ryan Callahan, a 2015 first-rounder and a 2014 second-rounder in a swap of captains, according to TSN.
Insight: St. Louis proved this season that he can still produce with anyone on his line, as he has put up 29 goals and 61 points in 62 games despite superstar center Steven Stamkos missing most of the year.
Description: Rangers winger Derek Dorsett (broken left fibula) is probable for Thursday's game against Chicago
Insight: Dorsett suffered the injury while trying to block a slap shot by Pittsburgh defenseman Olli Maatta. He only has five points (three goals) and 48 SOG in 37 games but collects penalty minutes at a high rate.
Description: Rangers left winger Mats Zuccarello's MRI confirmed a small non-displaced fracture in his left hand, according to the Bergen Record.
Insight: Zuccarello suffered the injury playing for Norway in the Winter Olympics, but there's still a chance he may be ready to play on Feb. 27 when New York's season resumes. He'll be reevaluated by a team doctor when he returns to the United States on Friday. Zuccarello had 15 goals and 43 points in 58 games prior to the Olympic break, all of which came in his last 51 games after starting off the season on a seven-game drought.
Description: Rangers winger Derek Dorsett (broken left fibula) is four weeks into his 4-6 week recovery time and expectations are that he'll return after the Olympic break.
Insight: Dorsett suffered the injury while trying to block a slap shot by Pittsburgh defenseman Olli Maatta. He only has five points (three goals) and 48 SOG in 37 games but is a penalty minute magnet (103 PIM).
Description: Rangers left winger Mats Zuccarello has produced two goals and four assists over his last four games.
Insight: Zuccarello picked up at least one point in all four games and had two assists in his latest contest Tuesday against the Avalanche. The 26-year-old has had his best season with 15 goals, 41 points and 124 SOG in 56 games.
Description: Rangers right wing Ryan Callahan played a huge role in Tuesday's win against the Avalanche.
Insight: Callahan took six shots on goal and scored on two of them. He assisted on another goal and finished the night with a +3 rating. Callahan has been angling for a contract extension and performances like this will certainly help his cause.
Description: Rangers center Derek Stepan had two points Sunday to extend his scoring streak to five games.
Insight: Stepan has picked up eight points (three goals) during the streak, but he's still well behind last season's pace. The 23-year-old has 35 points (10 goals) in 54 games after producing 44 points (18 goals) in 48 games in 2012-13. He's also just a +3 after registering a +25 last season.
Description: Rangers newly-acquired defenseman Kevin Klein was matched up with John Moore in his New York debut.
Insight: Klein is not an offensive threat like the man he was traded for, Michael Del Zotto, but is a solid defender. Klein has three points in 48 games with just 21 PIM and 50 SOG. That won't help fantasy owners.
Description: Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist practiced Wednesday after missing Tuesday's game due to illness. SOURCE: Pat Leonard, New York Daily News.
Insight: Lundqvist's stats -- 17-17-3, 2.54 GAA, .915 SV% -- are disappointing but he has played better this month, going 5-1 with a 1.34 GAA and a .958 SV% his last six starts. He should be able to play Thursday against the Blues.
Description: Rangers center Derek Stepan has scored two goals and picked up two assists in his last two games.
Insight: Stepan scored one of the Rangers' four goals Sunday against the Capitals after producing three points Saturday. The 23-year-old only has 31 points (nine goals) in 51 games this season after recording 44 (18 goals) in 48 games last season.
Description: Rangers winger Rick Nash had two of New York's four goals in a win over the Capitals Sunday.

Description: Rangers winger Rick Nash had a pair of goals Monday against Columbus, his former team of nine years.
Insight: Nash missed nearly six weeks due to a concussion and hasn't returned to his expected level of production. He has nine goals and nine assists in 27 games. He's taken 105 SOG but has a career-low .086 shooting percentage.
Description: New York center Dominic Moore made his presence felt by potting two goals Saturday in a 7-1 win over Toronto.
Insight: Moore had just one goal in his first 34 games prior to Saturday's explosion. For Moore's last two-goal game, you'd have go all the way back to March 29, 2011 against Ottawa. Moore was playing for the Lightning back then.

Insight: Henrik Lundqvist was shelled for five goals Friday at Pittsburgh and is 12-16-2 with a 2.78 GAA and a .905 SV% this season. The 26-year-old Talbot, however, is 8-3-0 with a 1.72 GAA and a .936 SV%.

Description: Rangers center Derick Brassard is questionable for Sunday's game against Calgary with a lower body injury.
Insight: Brassard has five goals and nine assists in 32 games, but a -9 rating should send fantasy owners running in the opposite direction. Much more was expected out of him after he totaled 11 points in 13 games for the Rangers following a trade last season.
Description: Rangers left winger Mats Zuccarello has three goals and eight points over his last seven games, including two (1 G, 1 A) Thursday at Buffalo.
Insight: Zuccarello had a similar stretch from Oct. 26 to Nov. 12, scoring two goals with 10 points in 10 games, but he followed that with a four-game drought in the middle of last month. We'll see if he can maintain some consistency this time around.
Description: The Rangers inked goaltender Henrik Lundqvist to a seven-year, $59.5 million contract extension on Wednesday. SOURCE: NESN

Description: Rangers winger Rick Nash has scored a goal in three straight games.
Insight: He had a goal, two assists, five SOG and a +3 Saturday against the Canucks in what was by far his best game of the season for fantasy purposes. The winger appears to be rounding back into form after missing six weeks due to a concussion.
Description: Rangers winger Derek Dorsett is questionable for Friday's game against Boston due to a sore wrist.
Insight: He missed Wednesday's game because of the injury. Dorsett hasn't scored a point in his last seven games and has just three points in 24 games this season, but if you need penalty minutes he's your man.
Description: Rangers goalie Cam Talbot earned his second straight shutout Saturday against Nashville.
Insight: He stopped all 17 shots that came his way. It's too bad that Talbot plays for New York, a team that already employs Vezina Trophy winner Henrik Lundqvist as its starting goaltender. Talbot could be a top fantasy netminder if he played almost anywhere else.
Description: Rangers backup goaltender Cam Talbot will start at Nashville Saturday.
Insight: Talbot, a 26-year-old rookie, has been excellent since taking over for Martin Biron as Henrik Lundqvist's backup. He's won four straight games and is 4-1-0 with a 1.58 GAA and a .943 SV%. He has a strong matchup Saturday and is a safe streaming option.
Description: Rangers defenseman Michael Del Zotto will play Wednesday, according to the Bergen Record.
Insight: Del Zotto has been a healthy scratch in three straight games and could soon be traded. He won't be worth owning if he remains on the Rangers; he was replaced by Ryan McDonagh on the top power-play line.
Description: Rangers backup goaltender Cam Talbot went into Montreal and picked up his first career shutout Saturday night.
Insight: It was New York's first shutout in Montreal since 1967. The Rangers also had been shut out four straight times at the Bell Centre. Description: Rangers winger Carl Hagelin has four goals and seven points in six games since making his season debut.
Insight: Hagelin scored two goals Thursday for the second time in his last four games. He had 24 goals and 62 points in 112 games his first two seasons in the NHL, but he's worth adding while he's this hot.
Description: Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh has two goals and five points over his last seven games.
Insight: He scored one of New York's five goals in a win over Pittsburgh on Wednesday. The 24-year-old's career high in points is 32 in 2011-12, but he could exceed that this season because he's getting more power-play time. In the past, he would be the third blueliner used on the power play after Michael Del Zotto and Dan Girardi, but he has skated with the top power-play unit this season.
Description: Rangers defenseman Michael Del Zotto logged his first point of the season Tuesday against the Islanders.
Insight: He assisted a Benoit Pouliot goal in the third period. Del Zotto had 37 points in 2009-10, 41 points in 2011-12 and 21 points in 46 games last season, but he went the first eight games without a point this season.

Description: Rangers left wing Carl Hagelin (shoulder) will play Tuesday when he'll be eligible after sitting out 10 games on long-term injured list, according to a Bergen Record report.

Description: Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist (undisclosed) returned to action Monday against the Canadiens and allowed two goals on 27 shots.
Insight: The Rangers were shut out by Montreal backup goalie Peter Budaj, dropping Lundqvist to 2-5-0 and New York to 3-7-0. The Rangers have scored just 1.5 goals per game this season and been shut out three times, so be sure to start your goalies against them. They play at the Islanders Tuesday, versus Buffalo Thursday and versus Carolina Saturday.
Description: Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist is probable for Monday's game against Montreal.
Insight: Lundqvist's undisclosed injury isn't believed to be serious, but Saturday was his second straight absence. He hasn't played well this season (2-4-0, 3.45 GAA, .890 SV%), but he's too good to continue playing at this level.
Description: Rangers goaltender Cam Talbot will start Saturday at Detroit.
Insight: Henrik Lundqvist is still sidelined by an undisclosed injury. The 26-year-old Talbot allowed two goals on 27 shots in his NHL debut Thursday against the Flyers, but the Red Wings present a tougher matchup.
