Emmanuel Sanders, WR9/16/2014 2:10:00 PM
Description: Broncos receiver Emmanuel Sanders is tied with Demaryius Thomas for team high targets with 18 through two games.
Insight: Sanders has been a big part of the offense over the first two weeks with 14 catches for 185 yards, but he hasn't scored which limits his fantasy value. The return of Wes Welker will likely force a significant drop in his opportunities and when Welker is in midseason form Sanders may lose most of his fantasy value as the team's fourth receiver.
Montee Ball, RB9/16/2014 2:04:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball has 25 touches in Week 1, but only 15 last Sunday.
Insight: Ball totaled 89 yards from scrimmage, which is certainly respectable, but didn't get into the end zone. We need him to be more like Knowshon Moreno was last season to validate his high fantasy selection.
Demaryius Thomas, WRCold9/16/2014 10:32:00 AM
Description: Broncos Pro Bowl receiver Demaryius Thomas has yet to play like one through the first two games this season.
Insight: Thomas was invisible in the season opener (4-48-0) and only a little better in Week 2 against the Chiefs (5-62-1). This could be because the Broncos are missing two big threats from last season (Eric Decker and Wes Welker). They could get Welker back soon and that may open up some room for Thomas, so don't give up on him.
C.J. Anderson, RB9/15/2014 1:46:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back C.J. Anderson continues to get the relief role for Montee Ball while Ronnie Hillman sits.
Insight: Andreson saw five carries while Hillman saw none. If anything happens to Ball, it will be Anderson as the obvious handcuff in the Denver backfield.
Peyton Manning, QB9/14/2014 8:16:00 PM
Description: Ho-hum, another monster half from Broncos QB Peyton Manning. He posted 191 yards and three touchdowns in the first half.
Insight: He didn't have the ball much in the second half and probably disappointed fantasy owners with his final totals.
Wes Welker, WR9/12/2014 8:05:00 PM
Description: Broncos receiver Wes Welker may be able to play this weekend upon being reinstated after the NFLPA approved the terms of the new drug policy.
Insight: The biggest changes in the new policy is HGH testing and a higher threshold for a positive marjuana test. If finalized by Sunday, Wes Welker and Cowboys CB Orlando Scandrick will be reinstated and available to play this week if there teams decide to activate them. Cleveland's Josh Gordon's suspension is 10 weeks. The NFL and NFLPA met to discuss reforms to the substance abuse policy, but the sides did not come to an agreement on Friday. NFL.com's Albert Breer has previously called this Sunday a "soft deadline" in the negotiations. Either way, Welker will not be playing this week.
C.J. Anderson, RB9/12/2014 2:56:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back C.J. Anderson is the obvious handcuff for Montee Ball in the Denver backfield.
Insight: Ronnie Hillman was inactive. If anything happens to Ball, it will be Anderson to the rescue. Until then, however, he's just taking up roster space.
Montee Ball, RB9/12/2014 2:54:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball has 25 touches in Week 1 which should make his fantasy owners smile.
Insight: Ball didn't havce a great day, but 83 totals yards and a touchdown is solid work. Backup C.J. Anderson saw just four rushes and Ronnie Hillman was inactive. Peyton Manning's running backs are always a good value and Ball should continue to produce double-digits every weekend.
Cody Latimer, WRCold9/12/2014 2:52:00 PM
Description: Broncos rookie receiver Cody Latimer did not get more playing time with Wes Welker suspended the first four games of the season.
Insight: In fact, he played zero snaps. Denver stuck with the veterans - Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders and Andre Caldwell and used tight end Julius Thomas like a wideout. If you were stashing Latimer in a non-keeper league, you can let him go.
Julius Thomas, TE9/8/2014 12:47:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas caught seven passes for 104 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday night's Week 1 victory against the Colts.
Insight: Thomas seemed to be Peyton Manning's favorite goal-line target with receiver Wes Welker out with a suspension. He created matchup problems in the secondary, catching seven of eight targets and all three of Manning's touchdowns. As long as Manning is quarterback, Thomas is a no-brainer No. 1 tight end every week.
Emmanuel Sanders, WR9/5/2014 9:06:00 PM
Description: Broncos receiver Emmanuel Sanders (thigh) is listed as probable for Sunday night's game against the Colts.
Insight: Sanders has been dealing with a thigh issue all week, but he was never in doubt to play on Sunday. He will start in place of Wes Welker and play in the slot on three-wide sets. We expect him to have a big day.
Wes Welker, WR9/5/2014 7:32:00 PM
Description: Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports "there's no chance" that any of the suspended players that violated the substance abuse policy will be suiting up this week.
Insight: The NFL and NFLPA met to discuss reforms to the substance abuse policy, but the sides did not come to an agreement on Friday. NFL.com's Albert Breer has previously called this Sunday a "soft deadline" in the negotiations. Either way, Welker will not be playing this week.
Cody Latimer, WR9/4/2014 11:32:00 AM
Description: Broncos rookie receiver Cody Latimer will likely get more playing time with Wes Welker suspended the first four games of the season according to the Denver Post.
Insight: Denver plans to move Emmanuel Sanders into the slot in the absence of Welker, so Latimer will line up opposite DeMaryius Thomas. With the way Peyton Manning likes to spread the ball around, Latimer could see major production the first four weeks of the season. This also means that the rookie has moved in front of Andre Caldwell on the receivers depth chart.
Wes Welker, WR9/2/2014 9:49:00 PM
Description: The NFL suspended Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker four games for violating the substance abuse policy, but The Denver Post's Mike Klis reports the team believes Welker will be able to play Week 1.
Insight: ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Welker tested positive due to taking amphetamines. Welker is not supposed to be reinstated until Week 6, but the Broncos have already said Welker is likely to play Week 1 because "suspensions are never announced this late in the week" with the "game plan" already "in place". It's not exactly late in the week especially since Monday was a holiday, but definitely check back this week to see an updated status on Welker.
Wes Welker, WR8/28/2014 9:23:00 PM
Description: Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker ran some routes on the field before Denver's preseason finale on Thursday but still has multiple evaluations to clear in concussion protocol before he can be cleared to play Week 1 according to Jeff Legwold of ESPN.
Insight: Welker is on the right track in terms of returning to the field and its a great sign he felt well enough to fly with the team but like Legwold reported, the receiver has a long way to go. Stay tuned.
Wes Welker, WR8/26/2014 9:30:00 PM
Description: According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Broncos coach John Fox said Wes Welker is doing "fantastic" in the concussion protocol.
Insight: Welker has sustained three concussions since Nov. 17. He'll need to be symptom-free by next Monday to be eligible to return to a full practice in time for the Sept. 7 season opener and it looks like he's going to be ready. However, he's extremely risky because one hit could end his career. Emmanuel Sanders will get a huge boost in fantasy value, as will rookie Cody Latimer to a lesser extent, if Welker goes down.
Wes Welker, WR8/25/2014 9:27:00 PM
Description: Broncos coach John Fox says receiver Wes Welker (concussion) hasn't said anything about retirement, according to Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com.
Insight: Welker has sustained three concussions since Nov. 17. He'll need to be symptom-free by next Monday to be eligible to return to a full practice in time for the Sept. 7 season opener. If Welker cannot play, Emmanuel Sanders will get a huge boost in fantasy value, as will rookie Cody Latimer to a lesser extent.
Wes Welker, WR8/24/2014 4:38:00 PM
Description: Broncos receiver Wes Welker was diagnosed with another concussion after Saturday's preseason game.
Insight: Welker caught a pass over the middle and took a shoulder to the head from Texans safety D.J. Swearinger. The 33-year-old sustained two concussions late in the 2013 season and missed three games. Emmanuel Sanders and Julius Thomas will see more targets if Welker is out.
Matt Prater, K8/24/2014 2:16:00 PM
Description: Broncos kicker Matt Prater will miss the first four games of the season due to a league suspension for an alcohol-related violation the league's substance-abuse policy.
Insight: Prater was in danger of a one-year suspension but apparently has a good lawyer. In the Denver offense any kicker will see a lot of work and Prater's four-week replacement should have solid fantasy value for the first month. He'll be eligible to return Week 6 against the New York Jets as the Broncos have a bye in Week 4.
Montee Ball, RB8/23/2014 1:18:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball (appendectomy) will make his preseason debut Saturday.
Insight: Ball made a quick recovery from an appendectomy and he's ready for action. Big things are expected of him after less-talented Knowshon Moreno was a fantasy star in this offense a year ago.
Montee Ball, RB8/19/2014 2:01:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball (appendectomy) returned to practice Tuesday.
Insight: The Broncos had a non-contact practice on Tuesday, so it was just individual drills. It is still a step in the right direction for Ball. The running back should still be ready for Week 1, but don't plan on seeomg how he looks in the third preseason game.
Montee Ball, RB8/18/2014 11:43:00 AM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball (appendectomy) is hoping the doctors will give his clearance to return to practice Monday, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.
Insight: He's still expected to be ready for Week 1 and it's obviously not a long-term injury concern. Much is expected of Ball, who will take over for Knowshon Moreno in the Peyton Manning-led Denver offense. Manning's backs have always had a good production history due to defenses fearing the quarterback's passing ability.
C.J. Anderson, RB8/17/2014 6:55:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back C.J. Anderson received most of the workload, rushing for 29 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. He also caught two balls.
Insight: Ronnie Hillman is still ahead of Anderson on the depth chart, but we still think he'll eventually overtake Hillman for the backup role to Monte Ball.
Peyton Manning, QBHot8/17/2014 6:50:00 PM
Description: After going 10-for-13 in his preseason debut, Broncos QB Peyton Manning was 12-for-14 for 102 yards and a score against the San Francisco 49ers.
Insight: Ho-hum. The 38-year-old set several NFL records last season including most yards (5,477) and most touchdown passes (55) in a single season and we expect more of the same in 2014. The five-time MVP will be the first quarterback off the board in fantasy drafts.
C.J. Anderson, RB8/14/2014 3:45:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back C.J. Anderson, left last Thursday's preseason opener with a concussion, but has been cleared to playa.
Insight: Ronnie Hillman is still ahead of Anderson on the depth chart, but we think he'll eventually overtake Hillman for the backup role to Monte Ball.
Ronnie Hillman, RB8/8/2014 10:45:00 AM
Description: Ronnie Hillman started Denver's preseason opener Thursday night against Seattle ahead of C.J. Anderson.
Insight: Montee Ball could miss the entire preseason while recovering from an appendectomy. He's in no danger of losing the starting job, but Hillman could cement himself as the top backup, particularly after Anderson suffered a concussion Thursday night.
Peyton Manning, QB8/8/2014 10:42:00 AM
Description: Broncos QB Peyton Manning was his usual efficient self, going 10-for-13 in his preseason debut.
Insight: The 38-year-old set several NFL records last season including most yards (5,477) and most touchdown passes (55) in a single season and we expect more of the same in 2014. The five-time MVP will be the first quarterback off the board in fantasy drafts.
C.J. Anderson, RB8/8/2014 9:28:00 AM
Description: Broncos running back C.J. Anderson left Thursday's preseason opener with a concussion.
Insight: Ronnie Hillman is still ahead of Anderson on the depth chart and this injury won't help, but we think he'll eventually overtake Hillman for the backup role to Monte Ball.
Ronnie Hillman, RB 8/6/2014 9:32:00 PM
Description: Ronnie Hillman will start Denver's preseason opener Thursday night against Seattle.
Insight: Montee Ball may miss the entire preseason while recovering from an appendectomy. He's in no danger of losing the starting job, but Hillman could cement himself as the top backup.
Montee Ball, RB8/4/2014 7:52:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball may miss the preseason after undergoing an appendectomy on Monday.
Insight: He's expected to be ready for Week 1 and it's not a long-term injury concern, but we'd like Ball to get as many reps as possible with the first-team offense in game action. He's going seventh among running backs in fantasyfootballcalculator.com mock drafts at an ADP of 10.3.
C.J. Anderson, RB8/3/2014 1:31:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back C.J. Anderson appears to be the early favorite to be Montee Ball's handcuff.
Insight: It's looking more and more like Ronnie Hillman is the "change-of-pace" back, but that if Ball were injured or underperforming that Anderson would get the first shot to fill in.
Julius Thomas, TE7/2/2014 4:09:00 PM
Description: Denver tight end Julius Thomas says the Broncos will use him "a lot more creatively" in 2014 because he's more familiar with OC Adam Gase's system, according to foxsports.com.
Insight: Thomas caught 65 passes for 788 yards and 12 touchdowns in just 14 games last season and the Broncos will look to him to replace some of the production they lost with Eric Decker's departure. He played just one season of college football at Portland State and thinks he's just scratching the surface of his potential. He should be drafted as a top-three tight end in all leagues.
Montee Ball, RB6/19/2014 5:11:00 PM
Description: According to Jeff Legwold of espn.com, Broncos running back Montee Ball is making huge strides as a receiver.
Insight: Knowshon Moreno had 241 carries and 60 catches last season as Denver's starter. Ball's value could be even better than expected if the Broncos get him 40-50 catches in addition to the 250-270 carries we expect him to get.
Demaryius Thomas, WR6/15/2014 4:06:00 PM
Description: The Broncos have offered Pro Bowl receiver Demaryius Thomas a five-year contract extension. SOURCE: Nate Lundy, 104.3 The Fan
Insight: Thomas is entering the final year of his rookie contract and Denver's priority is obviously to lock him up long-term. He's finished fourth in the league in receiving yards each of the last two seasons.
Von Miller, LB6/12/2014 4:36:00 PM
Description: Denver linebacker Von Miller (torn ACL) has not been particpating in all drills, but believes he's on pace to be ready for Week 1, according to a Denver Post report.
Insight: Miller injured the ACL in December and is trying to copy the Adrian Peterson timetable to return for the opener in 2014-15.
T.J. Ward, SS5/23/2014 8:31:00 PM
Description: A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Broncos safety T.J. Ward. SOURCE: CBS4 in Denver
Insight: He's wanted for his role in a nightclub altercation that took place in Denver earlier this month. Ward was a second-team All-Pro selection in 2013. This will be his first season in Denver after spending the last four years with Cleveland.
Cody Latimer, WR5/14/2014 4:44:00 PM
Description: According to Vic Lombardi of cbsdenver.com, Broncos rookie receiver Cody Latimer will compete for a starting job this season.
Insight: Denver signed Emmanuel Sanders after losing Eric Decker to free agency, but perhaps the sure-handed Latimer (one drop on 119 targets in college last season) can beat him out in training camp. He'll still be behind Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas and Wes Welker on the Broncos receiving hierarchy if he does, but the Broncos offense was prolific enough last year to make fantasy starters out of its top-four receiving options and running back.
Cody Latimer, WR5/9/2014 8:58:00 PM
Description: The Denver Broncos traded up to 56th overall in the 2014 draft to take receiver Cody Latimer out of Indiana.
Insight: Latimer has great hands and should turn into a reliable target for Peyton Manning. However, he'll start off 2014 as the team's No. 5 target behind Demaryius Thomas, Wes Welker, Emmanuel Sanders and Julius Thomas.
Montee Ball, RB3/27/2014 4:08:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball should be the primary ballcarrier for Denver in 2014.
Insight: Knowshon Moreno, Denver's lead back last season, has agreed to a one-year deal with Miami. Ball ran for 4.7 yards per carry on 120 attempts and finished with 559 rushing yards and four touchdowns. He'll be a high-end RB2/low-end RB1 in 2014 because the Broncos' passing game is so potent that it leaves gaps in the opponents' run defense.
Wes Welker, WR3/17/2014 1:31:00 PM
Description: Denver exercised its 2014 option on receiver Wes Welker.
Insight: Welker figures to improve on last year's numbers (73-778-10). He'll be more familiar with QB Peyton Manning and the loss of Eric Decker won't be completely compensated for by the addition of Emmanuel Sanders. Welker also missed three games due to a concussion.
Emmanuel Sanders, WR3/16/2014 9:37:00 AM
Description: Emmanuel Sanders' new deal with the Broncos should become official later today. However, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Sanders had already agreed to a contract with Kansas City before Denver came into the picture.
Insight: An anonymous team official has accused Sanders' agent Steve Weinberg of breaking "every rule in negotiations." Supposedly, Weinberg accepted a deal from the Chiefs before opening negotiations with Tampa Bay and Denver. He also blew off a meeting with San Francisco. Weinberg is already on thin ice after a series of violations in the early 2000s and this sequence of events should only further damage his reputation. Fantasy-wise, it's an ideal spot for Sanders who will now be catching passes from Peyton Manning. He'll be replacing Eric Decker, who put up 1,288 yards and 11 TD last season.
DeMarcus Ware, DE3/12/2014 2:05:00 PM
Description: One day after being cut by the Cowboys, All-Pro defensive end DeMarcus Ware has agreed to a three-year, $30 million contract with Denver.
Insight: By signing Ware, T.J. Ward and Aqib Talib all in the last 24 hours, it's clear that defense is a priority for the Broncos this offseason. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, $20 million of Ware's deal is guaranteed.
T.J. Ward, SS3/12/2014 10:26:00 AM
Description: T.J. Ward's new deal with the Broncos will pay him $23 million over the next four seasons. SOURCE: Adam Schefter, ESPN
Insight: Ward had spent his previous four seasons in Cleveland, logging five picks, five forced fumbles and 342 tackles over that span. The additions of Ward and Aqib Talib should make Denver's secondary one of the league's best.
Aqib Talib, CB3/12/2014 9:52:00 AM
Description: Pro Bowl cornerback Aqib Talib agreed to a six-year, $57 million deal with Denver late Tuesday night. SOURCE: Adam Schefter, ESPN
Insight: Hey, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Talib lost to the Broncos in the AFC Championship so naturally he decided to sign with them as a free agent. The $26 million Talib is getting in guaranteed money is the most ever by a cornerback. Now that Talib and Alterraun Verner are off the market, the Patriots will probably go after Antonio Cromartie or Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie to fill their vacant corner slot. Of course, the biggest prize would be soon-to-be free agent Darrelle Revis. It remains to be seen if that's a real possibility for New England.
Andre Caldwell, WR3/11/2014 4:42:00 PM
Description: Wide receiver Andre Caldwell will return to the Broncos after agreeing to a two-year deal, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.
Insight: Caldwell caught 16 balls for 200 yards (11 over the final three games) and could move up the depth chart if Denver doesn't bring in a big name to replace Eric Decker. Anyone catching balls from Peyton Manning has a chance to be fantasy worthy.
Champ Bailey, CB3/6/2014 5:01:00 PM
Description: Champ Bailey's ten-year tenure with Denver ended on Thursday when the Broncos released him. SOURCE: USA Today
Insight: The move saves Denver $10 million that they can now spend on a top-tier free agent. Bailey has told teams he's willing to move to safety despite playing cornerback for the last 15 seasons. Regardless of how this plays out, Bailey should be a Hall of Famer when his career is over.
Montee Ball, RB3/5/2014 10:33:00 AM
Description: According to the Denver Post, the Broncos believe it's time to take the training wheels off their young running backs, Montee Ball and C.J. Anderson.
Insight: Knowshon Moreno is a free agent and will likely be let go after picking up 1,500+ yards from scrimmage and 13 touchdowns in 2013. Ball ran for 4.7 yards per carry on 120 attempts and finished with 559 rushing yards and four touchdowns. He'll be a high-end RB2/low-end RB1 in 2014.
Eric Decker, WR2/18/2014 9:16:00 PM
Description: Receiver Eric Decker said money won't be the only factor when it comes to his free agency decision, according to espn.com. "It's not all about the money for me. It's about going to work every day and having fun and enjoying my job," Decker said on SiriusXM NFL Radio. "If we can get on the same page, I will welcome a call from the Broncos, but I need to do what is best for my family," he said.
Insight: Decker has put together two straight seasons with 85+ catches, 1,000+ yards and 10+ touchdowns with the Denver Broncos. Signing with another team would mean no longer having to share targets with Demaryius Thomas, Wes Welker and Julius Thomas, but Denver remains one of the best spots for his fantasy value.
Demaryius Thomas, WR2/4/2014 6:45:00 PM
Description: Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas set an NFL record with his 13 catches Sunday in Super Bowl XLVIII. Unfortunately, he also separated his shoulder. SOURCE: Vic Lombardi, CBS Denver
Insight: Thomas never missed a snap so fantasy owners have no need to panic. The 26-year-old is coming off a brilliant season and might actually have an even greater impact in 2014 if Denver is unable to retain Eric Decker in free agency.
Peyton Manning, QB2/1/2014 8:43:00 PM
Description: Broncos QB Peyton Manning was named NFL MVP for the fifth time on Saturday.
Insight: He's won this award more times than any player in NFL history. Manning took 49 of the 50 first place votes with one vote going to Tom Brady. Manning last one the MVP award in 2009 back when he was with Indianapolis. The 37-year-old set several NFL records this season including most yards (5,477) and most touchdown passes (55) in a single season.
Matt Prater, K1/30/2014 11:58:00 AM
Description: Broncos kicker Matt Prater was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
Insight: Prater was ill for most of last week, but appears to be ready to go. He was 25-for-26 on field goal attempts, including 6-for-7 from 50-yards or more. He also forced touchbacks on 60 percent of his kickoffs.
Knowshon Moreno, RB1/30/2014 11:47:00 AM
Description: Broncos starting running back Knowshon Moreno practiced in full on Wednesday.
Insight: Moreno injured his ribs in the AFC Championship game, but was always expected to play in the Super Bowl. This is just confirmation that Moreno will be ready. Moreno was one of the biggest surprises this season, buried on the depth chart in preseason, but emerging as the best guy in the backfield with 1,038 yards rushing, 548 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns.
Knowshon Moreno, RB1/29/2014 5:00:00 PM
Description: According to NFL.com's Kevin Patra, the Broncos aren't likely to re-sign impending free agent Knowshon Moreno.
Insight: Moreno is going to get a huge payday this offseason but it probably won't come from Denver. Obviously this is great news for Montee Ball, who figures to be the workhorse when Moreno inevitably signs elsewhere.
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB1/28/2014 8:25:00 PM
Description: Denver cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie said he would accept a long-term contract if he gets offered one this offseason. Yesterday, Rodgers-Cromartie said that he would consider retiring if Denver wins the Super Bowl on Sunday. SOURCE: Gregg Rosenthal, NFL.com
Insight: It's not a surprise as we figured DRC would come to his senses sooner or later. Rodgers-Cromartie is in the prime of his career and should earn millions as a free agent this offseason. The Broncos would be crazy not to re-sign him.
Peyton Manning, QB1/27/2014 9:05:00 PM
Description: Regardless of Super Bowl XLVIII's outcome, Peyton Manning intends to play at least one more season for the Broncos. SOURCE: Denver Post
Insight: Many have speculated that Super Bowl XLVIII could be Manning's last game but Peyton says that won't be the case. Manning had arguably the greatest season of his career in 2013 and many of his receivers are still in their prime. Plus, Manning would be walking away from $53 million if he decided to throw in the towel. Fantasy owners holding Peyton in keeper leagues can feel safe about their investment.
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB1/27/2014 8:34:00 PM
Description: Broncos cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, 27, is already thinking about retirement. SOURCE: Ian Rapoport, NFL Network
Insight: The impending free agent says he's given the idea some serious thought and may hang up his cleats if Denver wins the Super Bowl this Sunday. It's very rare to see a player of this caliber retire at such an early age. If Rodgers-Cromartie does call it quits he'll be leaving an awful lot of money on the table. For what it's worth, Rodgers-Cromartie has recorded 38 tackles and three interceptions this season (playoffs included).
Knowshon Moreno, RB1/23/2014 1:54:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno suffered a rib injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's AFC Championship Game, but has practiced Wednesday and Thursday this week, so figures to be ready for next Sunday's game.
Insight: Moreno obviously didn't need the full two weeks to get healthy for Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium. Plan to start him as always.
Champ Bailey, CB1/20/2014 1:43:00 PM
Description: Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey (foot) came up big just when the team needed him, playing almost every snap on defense.
Insight: Facing Tom Brady and without starter Chris Harris could have been a problem, but Bailey and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie played well in holding the Pats passing game in check. Bailey appears to have come out of the game healthy and will have two weeks to rest up for his first Super Bowl.
Knowshon Moreno, RB1/20/2014 9:22:00 AM
Description: Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno suffered a rib injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's AFC Championship Game, but X-rays were negative.
Insight: Moreno will have two weeks to get healthy for Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium and should be ready to go. If not, Montee Ball would carry most of the workload, but he's not the receiver Moreno is.
Tony Carter, CB1/20/2014 9:18:00 AM
Description: Broncos nickle cornerback Tony Carter suffered a concussion in the AFC Campionship game against New England, but is expected to be ready for the Super Bowl, according to a FOX Sports report.
Insight: The Broncos defense has been missing a number of pieces (Von Miller, Chris Harris, Kevin Vickerson, Derek Wolfe), but is getting the job done. Having Carter available will certainly help to stop Percy Harvin, Golden Tate and Doug Baldwin.
Knowshon Moreno, RB1/19/2014 6:10:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno suffered a chest injury in the fourth quarter during Sunday's AFC Championship Game.
Insight: Moreno has two weeks to get healthy for Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium. He had 14 carries for 59 yards and two catches for 22 yards Sunday against the Patriots, while Montee Ball had 56 total yards on 15 touches.
Trindon Holliday, WR1/16/2014 9:47:00 AM
Description: Broncos WR/KR Trindon Holliday has been the team's kickoff return man, but apparently has lost out on his punt return duties.
Insight: Sure-handed Wes Welker was back to return punts last Sunday and that should continue.
Peyton Manning, QB1/16/2014 9:42:00 AM
Description: Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is listed on the injury report due to his ongoing sore ankle, but fantasy owners should have no fear that he'll miss this matchup with Tom Brady and the Pats.
Insight: Manning set records for passing yards and passing touchdowns this season , but none of that will matter if he doesn't beat his rival and make it back to another Super Bowl.
Chris Harris, CB1/14/2014 8:32:00 PM
Description: Denver has officially placed cornerback Chris Harris on injured reserve.
Insight: The move was expected after Harris tore his ACL in Sunday's win against San Diego. Including the playoffs, Harris recorded 68 tackles and three interceptions this season.
Chris Harris, CB1/13/2014 1:43:00 PM
Description: Broncos defensive back Chris Harris has been diagnosed with a torn ACL. He's out for the season.
Insight: Harris had started at left corner with Champ Bailey at the nickle, but Bailey will have to take over the starting role Sunday against Tom Brady and the Patriots.
Chris Harris, CB1/13/2014 9:27:00 AM
Description: Broncos defensive back Chris Harris left Sunday's game with a knee injury that will require an MRI on Monday, according to Linday Jones of USA Today.
Insight: Harris starts at left corner with Champ Bailey at the nickle. The team doesn't think its too serious and hopes to have him Sunday against Tom Brady and the Patriots.
Peyton Manning, QB1/12/2014 10:29:00 PM
Description: Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning will have his neck evaluated after the season. SOURCE: Chris Mortensen, ESPN
Insight: If everything checks out, he should be able to continue his career as planned. But if tests reveal any more damage to his neck, it could force the future Hall of Famer into early retirement. For now, Manning's main focus is Denver's next opponent, the New England Patriots, who beat the Broncos in Week 12.
Julius Thomas, TE1/12/2014 8:35:00 PM
Description: Denver tight end Julius Thomas finished with a team-high 76 receiving yards Sunday in a win against San Diego.
Insight: Thomas lost a fumble but made up for it by coming down with a pair of clutch third down catches to seal the victory. The Broncos will host New England next Sunday in the AFC Championship. The 25-year-old Thomas has never played against the Patriots.
Wes Welker, WR1/12/2014 4:45:00 PM
Description: Denver receiver Wes Welker is wearing a specialized helmet in today's game against San Diego. Welker has suffered two concussions this season and hasn't played since December 8th. SOURCE: Vic Lombardi, CBS4 Denver
Insight: The helmet looks gigantic. It's a necessary precaution, however, as another head injury could end Welker's career. He only caught three passes for 21 yards when these teams squared off in Week 10.
Derek Wolfe, LE1/10/2014 2:40:00 PM
Description: Broncos starting defensive end Derek Wolfe won't play Sunday against San Diego.
Insight: He's out with an illness. Wolfe will sit on the sidelines with Von Miller making the Broncos' defense much more vulnerable. Of course with Peyton Manning & Co. on the other side of the ball, they don't have to be dominant.
Wes Welker, WR1/6/2014 11:35:00 AM
Description: Bad news for the Chargers secondary, Broncos wideout Wes Welker was cleared last week to play in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.
Insight: Welker had missed the past three games with a concussion. Though the 778 yards he recorded this year were his fewest since 2006, Welker's 10 touchdown receptions in 2013 were a career-high. Welker, Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker and Julius Thomas make a formidable receiving corps.
Demaryius Thomas, WR12/29/2013 8:07:00 PM
Description: Denver wideout Demaryius Thomas finished the regular season in style by hauling in six catches for 113 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's win over Oakland.
Insight: Thomas did all of his damage in the first half as Denver jumped out to a 31-0 lead before the break. He finished with four yards fewer than last season (1,430) though he had four more touchdowns in 2013 (14) than he did in 2012 (10).
Peyton Manning, QB12/29/2013 6:50:00 PM
Description: Denver QB Peyton Manning is the NFL's all-time single-season passing yards leader.
Insight: Manning needed 266 yards for the record and that's exactly how many he got. He passed Drew Brees for the all-time mark on a five-yard touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas at the end of the first half. Manning set the single-season touchdown record last week in a win over Houston. With Denver up big, Peyton has taken a seat in favor of backup Brock Osweiler. Barring a collapse of epic proportions, the Broncos will have homefield advantage throughout the postseason.
Wes Welker, WR12/29/2013 1:20:00 PM
Description: Confirming an earlier report, Broncos wideout Wes Welker will be back for the team's first playoff game in two weeks. SOURCE: ESPN
Insight: Welker has missed the past three games with a concussion. He practiced on a limited basis this week and should get full reps during the team's upcoming bye week. Though the 778 yards he recorded this year were his fewest since 2006, Welker's ten touchdown receptions in 2013 were a career-high.

Description: Denver receiver Wes Welker (concussion) has been ruled out for the final game of the regular season, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.

Wes Welker, WR12/25/2013 4:33:00 PM
Description: Denver receiver Wes Welker (concussion) practiced Wednesday which is an obvious indication that he's getting better.
Insight: Welker suffered his second concussion of the season on Dec. 8 and is not expected to play in the season finale, but is encouraging news in regards to the Broncos' first playoff game in three weeks.
Von Miller, LB12/23/2013 12:58:00 PM
Description: Von Miller's torn ACL was confirmed with an MRI on Monday. His season is over. SOURCE: Denver Post
Insight: Miller will certainly be missed but it's worth mentioning that Denver went undefeated in his absence earlier in the year (he was suspended six games for a failed drug test). Look for Nate Irving to replace Miller as Denver's starting strong side linebacker.
Von Miller, LB12/22/2013 6:18:00 PM
Description: The Broncos fear Von Miller tore his ACL Sunday at Houston, according to the Denver Post.
Insight: Miller left early in Sunday's game with the knee injury. He has five sacks and three forced fumbles in nine games this season.

Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas caught his 12th touchdown of the season Sunday against the Texans. He finished with 78 yards on six catches.
Insight: Thomas has caught at least one touchdown in 10 of the 13 games he has played this season. His touchdown Sunday was Peyton Manning's 51st of the season, breaking Tom Brady's record.

Insight: Decker has accumulated 464 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 28 catches over his last four games. He'll head into the final week with 83 catches, 1,261 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Peyton Manning, QBHot12/22/2013 5:04:00 PM
Description: Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning set the single-season record by throwing his 51st touchdown pass with 4:28 remaining in the fourth quarter Sunday at Houston.
Insight: Manning threw four touchdowns and had 400 yards to put himself over 5,000 for the first time in his career. The man has been money for the whole season and he likely brought home a fantasy title for many owners with this performance.
Eric Decker, WR12/22/2013 1:49:00 PM
Description: Denver Broncos receiver Eric Decker had a knee-on-knee collision with Texans CB Jonathan Joseph during Sunday's game and limped off the field but he returned on the next play.
Insight: Decker was able to come back in immediately because the first quarter ended. He was in the slot on Demaryius Thomas' 36-yard touchdown catch from Peyton Manning.
Wes Welker, WR12/20/2013 6:10:00 PM
Description: According to espn.com, Denver receiver Wes Welker (concussion) is expected to miss the final two games of the regular season.
Insight: Welker suffered his second concussion of the season on Dec. 8. Andre Caldwell, who stepped in and caught two touchdowns against San Diego last Thursday, will be Denver's No. 3 receiver again this week at Houston and a WR3 option in fantasy leagues. Welker will finish with 73 receptions for 778 yards, both his lowest since 2006, and a career-high 10 touchdowns in 13 games.
Wes Welker, WR12/19/2013 7:22:00 PM
Description: According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, Broncos receiver Wes Welker (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Houston.
Insight: Welker suffered his second concussion of the season on Dec. 8 and will miss his second straight game this weekend. Andre Caldwell, who stepped in and caught two touchdowns against San Diego last Thursday, will be Denver's No. 3 receiver again this week and a WR3 option in fantasy leagues.
Wes Welker, WR12/18/2013 5:25:00 PM
Description: According to ESPN's Jeff Legwold, Broncos receiver Wes Welker (concussion) still has not been medically cleared to return to practice.
Insight: Welker suffered his second concussion of the season on Dec. 8. It's obviously not a good sign for his Week 16 availability that he isn't ready to return after sitting out last Thursday's game against San Diego. Andre Caldwell, who stepped in and caught two touchdowns against San Diego, would be Denver's No. 3 receiver again this week and a WR3 option in fantasy leagues.
Andre Caldwell, WR12/13/2013 9:50:00 AM
Description: It was wide receiver Andre Caldwell who benefitted from Wes Welker being sidelined by a concussion in Thursday's game against San Diego.
Insight: Caldwell caught six of ten targets for 59 yards and both touchdowns while Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas, Jacob Tamme and Eric Decker did very little.
Kayvon Webster, CB12/13/2013 9:43:00 AM
Description: Denver cornerback Kayvon Webster injured his thumb in the Thursday night loss to San Diego and will undergo surgery on Friday.
Insight: He's expected to miss the next game and should be considered week-to-week. Webster doesn't start, but sees plenty of action on defense and on special teams.
Virgil Green, TE12/12/2013 8:11:00 PM
Description: In a surprise move, the Broncos are going to start tight end Virgil Green in the slot Thursday against San Diego. Wide receiver Wes Welker usually plays the slot but is out with a concussion. SOURCE: Mike Klis, Denver Post
Insight: Jacob Tamme was expected to start in Welker's place but instead the Broncos are going with Green, the third-year tight end from Nevada. Green has never caught a touchdown pass in 40 NFL games but with Manning throwing, there's always that possibility.
Wes Welker, WR12/11/2013 10:32:00 AM
Description: According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, Denver receiver Wes Welker (concussion) will miss Thursday's game against San Diego.
Insight: Welker suffered his second concussion in the last month Sunday against the Titans and had a slim chance of being ready during this short week. Fantasy owners should expect an increase in targets for Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker, Julius Thomas and possibly Jacob Tamme who saw additional snaps Sunday after Welker went down.
Jacob Tamme, TE12/10/2013 2:45:00 PM
Description: Denver tight end Jacob Tamme is expected to pick up most of the work at the slot position if Wes Welker is inactive for Thursday's game against San Diego.
Insight: Tamme saw 45-of-46 snaps after Welker went down last Sunday and caught four balls for 47 yards. Peyton Manning obviously has plenty of confidence in his backup tight end going back to their days in Indianapolis.
Wes Welker, WR12/9/2013 1:14:00 PM
Description: Denver receiver Wes Welker (73-778-10) suffered another concussion Sunday against Tennessee and should be considered unlikely to play in Thursday's game against San Diego.
Insight: That's his second concussion this season. Fantasy owners should expect an increase in targets for Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker, Julius Thomas and possibly Jacob Tamme who saw additional snaps Sunday after Welker went down.
Wes Welker, WR12/8/2013 6:01:00 PM
Description: Denver receiver Wes Welker suffered another concussion Sunday against Tennessee.
Insight: That's his second this season. It's going to be tough for him to be ready for the Broncos' Week 15 game against San Diego which is scheduled for Thursday night.
Demaryius Thomas, WR12/8/2013 2:46:00 PM
Description: Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas (shoulder) is active for Sunday against Tennessee.
Insight: The Broncos will have their full complement of receivers with both Demaryius and Julius Thomas, Wes Welker and Eric Decker.
Julius Thomas, TE12/8/2013 2:45:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (knee) is active for Sunday's game against Tennessee.
Insight: Thomas had missed the last two games with a knee injury. His return couldn't have come at a better time for the Broncos, who need Thomas to work the middle of the field with tough cornerbacks Alterraun Verner and Jason McCourty on the outside. He's a top-five tight end option.
Julius Thomas, TE12/6/2013 5:05:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (knee) is probable to play Sunday against the Titans.
Insight: Thomas missed the last two games with a knee injury but is ready to return. And just in time for Denver, who need Thomas to work the middle of the field with tough cornerbacks Alterraun Verner and Jason McCourty on the outside. He's a top-five tight end option.
Julius Thomas, TE12/5/2013 3:35:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (knee) got in a full practice on Thursday and barring injury should return after missing a couple of games.
Insight: Fantasy owners should be ready to re-install him into their lineups. With the weather in Denver forecasted to be very cold and snow possible, shorter passes may be the order of the day.
Knowshon Moreno, RBHot12/1/2013 7:57:00 PM
Description: The Chiefs held Knowshon Moreno to 18 rushing yards on 15 carries but he had 72 receiving yards and a touchdown on four catches in Week 13.
Insight: Moreno suffered a bruised ankle while carrying the football 37 times for 224 yards and a touchdown Sunday night at New England. The Broncos mixed in Montee Ball more and the rookie had 117 yards on 13 carries. Due to his role in the passing game and near the goal line, Moreno has an extremely high floor.
Eric Decker, WR12/1/2013 7:52:00 PM
Description: Denver Broncos receiver Eric Decker was Peyton Manning's favorite receiver Sunday at Kansas City. He caught eight of his 12 targets for 174 yards and four touchdowns.
Insight: Decker had his way with rookie CB Marcus Cooper all day. He came in with just three touchdowns all season after catching 13 in 2012, but he now has 63 catches, 971 yards and seven scores with four games to go.
Demaryius Thomas, WR12/1/2013 5:24:00 PM
Description: Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas left Sunday's game with a shoulder injury, but returned to action in the second quarter.
Insight: The Broncos already are playing without Julius Thomas (knee) so they could ill-afford to be without both. While he was gone Eric Decker took advantage and scored from 41-yards out. The Broncos are down 14 points in the second quarter and Demaryius figures to see plenty of targets.
Demaryius Thomas, WR12/1/2013 4:52:00 PM
Description: Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas left Sunday's game with a shoulder injury and is questionable to return.
Insight: The Broncos already are playing without Julius Thomas (knee), so they will be down to Wes Welker, Eric Decker, Andre Caldwell and Jacob Tamme if Demaryius Thomas cannot return.
Champ Bailey, CB12/1/2013 3:20:00 PM
Description: Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey (sore foot), will be active for the game with Kansas City.
Insight: Injuries have limited Bailey to just two games this season. Bailey may see plenty of playing time with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie inactive due to a sore shoulder.
Julius Thomas, TE12/1/2013 3:18:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (knee) will not play Sunday in the rematch with Kansas City.
Insight: Jacob Tamme caught five passes for 47 yards and a touchdown against the Pats and could be a decent fill-in for desperate owners.
Knowshon Moreno, RBHot12/1/2013 12:20:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno (ankle) will play Sunday against the Chiefs, according to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports.
Insight: Moreno suffered a bruised ankle while carrying the football 37 times for 224 yards and a touchdown Sunday night at New England. He may not see 25 touches Sunday due to his injury but 20 are likely.
Julius Thomas, TE12/1/2013 12:18:00 PM
Description: According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, the Broncos don't expect tight end Julius Thomas (knee) to play Sunday.
Insight: Thomas missed Week 12 against New England with a knee injury and ESPN's Adam Schefter reports his chances of playing in Week 13 are "iffy" at best. Have another tight end playing after the 1 p.m. slate ready to go if you are planning on using Thomas. Jacob Tamme caught five passes for 47 yards and a touchdown against the Pats and could be a decent fill-in for desperate owners.

Derek Wolfe, LE11/30/2013 3:26:00 PM
Description: Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe won't play Sunday against the Chiefs. SOURCE: Ian Rapoport, NFL.com
Insight: He's out with an illness. This will be the first game Wolfe has missed in his career. So far, he has 16 tackles and four sacks this season.
Julius Thomas, TE11/29/2013 2:52:00 PM

Insight: Moreno had the game of his life Sunday against New England, rushing for 224 yards on 37 carries. He bowed out in overtime after bruising his ankle. If Moreno is limited at all next week in Kansas City, C.J. Anderson and Montee Ball would both see more carries.
Champ Bailey, CB11/24/2013 7:23:00 PM
Description: Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey is out again with a sore foot.
Insight: Injuries have limited Bailey to just two games this season. Chris Harris will get the start at left corner Sunday against New England.

Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas is out for Sunday night's game against New England.
Insight: Thomas was limited in practice this week because of a knee injury. Backup tight end Joel Dreessen will move into the starting lineup though he probably won't see many targets.
Julius Thomas, TE11/24/2013 2:10:00 PM
Description: According to Fox's Jay Glazer, Denver tight end Julius Thomas (knee) will need a miracle to play in Sunday night's game against the Patriots.
Insight: Hopefully you had a backup plan in place. Joel Dreessen is likely to start in Thomas' place. With temperatures in the low 20s and wind gusts upwards of 25 mph, playing conditions will be far from ideal Sunday night in Foxboro.
Julius Thomas, TE11/24/2013 10:53:00 AM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas will be a game-time decision for Sunday night's game in Foxboro. SOURCE: Ian Rapoport, NFL Network
Insight: Because of the 8:30 start time, fantasy owners would be wise to look for another tight end to fill out the roster. Houston's Garrett Graham and Tennessee's Delanie Walker are both widely available in ESPN leagues if you need some insurance (30.6 percent and 27.2 percent ownership respectively).
Wes Welker, WR11/23/2013 1:01:00 PM
Description: Denver interim coach Jack Del Rio confirmed that receiver Wes Welker (concussion) will play Sunday night against the Patriots, according to the Denver Post. "It's kind of like Peyton (Manning) was a while back -- if you had the 'definitely will go' category, (Welker would) probably be on there too," Del Rio said.
Insight: Welker got in a full practice Friday and is good to go for the Week 12 showdown with his former team. He's a must-start as usual.
Julius Thomas, TE11/22/2013 5:25:00 PM
Description: Denver tight end Julius Thomas (knee) was limited again in Friday's practice, according to Adam Schefter of espn.com.
Insight: Broncos interim coach Jack Del Rio said the team will "just have to make a determination." It looks like Thomas will be a game-time decision Sunday night against the Patriots. Fantasy owners who are planning to start him should make sure they have Denver backup Jacob Tamme or Washington's Fred Davis, who will likely start in place of a concussed Jordan Reed Monday night, on the roster in case Thomas is ruled out.
Wes Welker, WR11/22/2013 4:52:00 PM
Description: Denver receiver Wes Welker (concussion) was upgraded to probable for Sunday night's game at New England.

Wes Welker, WR11/21/2013 1:33:00 PM
Description: Denver receiver Wes Welker was back at practice on Thursday. SOURCE: Mike Klis, Denver Post
Insight: You didn't think Welker was going to miss Denver's Week 12 opponent, his former team the New England Patriots, did you? Peyton Manning will feed him a larger workload because he knows how to keep his receivers happy.
Julius Thomas, TE11/20/2013 4:24:00 PM

Description: Denver receiver Wes Welker didn't participate in practice on Wednesday. SOURCE: Mike Klis, Denver Post
Insight: Denver's Week 12 opponent, the New England Patriots (his former team), should give Welker plenty of incentive to play on Sunday. Unfortunately, it's not up to him. Because of the league's new policy for head injuries, he'll need to pass a series of concussion tests before he is cleared to play.
Wes Welker, WR11/18/2013 8:28:00 PM
Description: Broncos receiver Wes Welker left Sunday's game with a concussion but according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, he's hoping to play next week against the Patriots.
Insight: He'll go through the necessary protocol for head injuries throughout the week. Welker hasn't caught 100 yards worth of passes in any game this season but he's made up for it by hauling in a career-high nine touchdowns.
Wes Welker, WR11/18/2013 9:30:00 AM
Description: Denver wideout Wes Welker could have suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter of Sunday night's game with Kansas City.
Insight: Welker caught eight balls for 72 yards. If it was a concussion, he'll have to work hard to get back for next week's matchup against his old team - the Patriots.
Julius Thomas, TE11/18/2013 9:25:00 AM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas will have tests on a knee after he took a hit in the third quarter.
Insight: Thomas did return to the game, briefly, but sat out most of the fourth quarter. He's been a top-five fantasy tight end, so hopefully it's just a minor injury.
Peyton Manning, QBHot11/14/2013 1:33:00 PM
Description: Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, but returned in limited fashion on Thursday.
Insight: Interim coach Jack Del Rio said earlier this week that Manning would "definitely" play in Week 11 in a key matchup versus the 9-0 Chiefs. The quarterback aggravated an ankle sprain Sunday against the Chargers. Fantasy owners can breathe again.

Insight: Interim coach Jack Del Rio said earlier this week that Manning would "definitely" play in Week 11 in a key matchup versus the 9-0 Chiefs. The quarterback aggravated an ankle sprain Sunday against the Chargers. If he plays, he's a must-start for fantasy purposes.
Peyton Manning, QBHot11/11/2013 2:16:00 PM
Description: Fantasy owners can breath easy. Broncos QB Peyton Manning went for an MRI on Monday to check out his right ankle, but there was just an aggravation of his high ankle sprain and no new damage, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.
Insight: He tossed four touchdown passes Sunday with each going to a player named Thomas (That has to be some kind of record, right?). With 33 touchdowns in nine games, Manning is well on his way to passing the all-time single-season TD mark set by Tom Brady in 2007 (50). He's also on pace for 5,776 passing yards.
Demaryius Thomas, WR11/10/2013 8:01:00 PM
Description: Demaryius Thomas was Peyton Manning's preferred target on Sunday.
Insight: Thomas exploded for 108 yards and three touchdowns in Denver's 28-20 victory at San Diego. Despite all the success Thomas has had this season, this was just his second 100-yard performance in nine starts.
Peyton Manning, QB11/10/2013 7:46:00 PM
Description: Broncos QB Peyton Manning picked the Chargers apart in Sunday's win at Qualcomm Stadium.
Insight: He tossed four touchdown passes with each going to a player with the last name Thomas (That has to be some kind of record, right?). With 33 touchdowns in nine games, Manning is well on his way to setting the all-time single-season TD mark set by Tom Brady in 2007 (50).
Julius Thomas, TE11/10/2013 3:23:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas is active for Week 10 against San Diego.
Insight: Thomas injured his ankle in Denver's Week 8 win over Washington. He's back, though not likely at 100 percent. Peyton Manning won't force the ball to him with the loaded talent the Broncos have at wideout. Thomas will be a risky start this Sunday.
Julius Thomas, TE11/6/2013 2:23:00 PM
Description: Broncos tight end Julius Thomas was back at practice on Wednesday. SOURCE: Andrew Mason, MaxDenver.com
Insight: Thomas injured his ankle in Denver's Week 8 win over Washington. As long as Thomas doesn't suffer any setbacks, he should be ready for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
Julius Thomas, TE11/4/2013 1:38:00 PM
Description: Denver tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) was not at Monday's practice, according to Denver Post reporter Mike Klis.
Insight: Even after a bye he isn't ready to go. If he doesn't practice Wednesday, fantasy owners can start getting concerned. The Broncos did sit a number of players Monday, not just Thomas.
Julius Thomas, TE10/28/2013 6:08:00 PM
Description: The MRI on Denver tight end Julius Thomas' ankle came back negative, according to Lindsay Jones of USAToday.com.
Insight: Thomas left Sunday's game early in the second half, but he appears to have a serious sprain. He tweeted Monday afternoon that his MRI "showed it wasn't a high ankle sprain." The Broncos have a bye in Week 9, so it's possible Thomas won't miss any games.
Julius Thomas, TE10/28/2013 11:38:00 AM
Description: Denver tight end Julius Thomas left Sunday's contest against the Redskins with an ankle injury and didn't return for the remainder of the game.
Insight: Thomas will have an MRI on Monday. He's been a great fantasy discovery this season catching 39 balls for 451 yards and eight TDs. Jacob Tamme and Joel Dreessen will slide in at tight end if Thomas remains sidelined.

Insight: It's unknown when or if he'll return to action. Jacob Tamme will slide in at tight end while Thomas is out.
Champ Bailey, CB10/27/2013 12:02:00 PM
Description: Denver cornerback Champ Bailey (foot) is a no-go for Sunday's game against the Redskins.
Insight: He's hoping to be back in two weeks. Without Bailey, it's going to be very difficult for the Broncos to contain Robert Griffin III in the passing game. Denver's D/ST is not a recommended fantasy play in Week 8.
Peyton Manning, QB10/27/2013 11:44:00 AM
Description: Denver quarterback Peyton Manning will play through a high ankle sprain on Sunday. SOURCE: Chris Mortensen, ESPN
Insight: Manning wasn't a terribly mobile quarterback to begin with but Sunday he's going to look like a statue out there. With that said, he has a dream matchup this week against a helpless Redskins secondary. Injury or not, he's still must-start material.
Ronnie Hillman, RBCold10/25/2013 4:25:00 PM
Description: According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, Ronnie Hillman will not dress for the Broncos in Week 8 versus the Redskins.
Insight: Hillman's fourth-quarter fumble at the 2-yard line Sunday against the Colts put a stop to Denver's comeback attempt. The team will go with rookie Montee Ball and C.J. Anderson as backups to Knowshon Moreno, making Ball one of the top handcuffs in fantasy.
Peyton Manning, QB10/24/2013 2:13:00 PM
Description: Broncos QB Peyton Manning sat out practice Wednesday with an ankle issue, but returned to practice on Thursday.
Insight: Wide receivers Eric Decker and Wes Welker were also given the day off Wednesday and returned today. All three are going to play Sunday so come in from the ledge.

Description: Broncos QB Peyton Manning sat out practice Wednesday with an ankle issue. SOURCE: Mike Klis, Denver Post
Insight: Wide receivers Eric Decker and Wes Welker were also given the day off. All three are expected to be back at practice on Thursday so fantasy owners don't need to press the panic button yet.
Von Miller, LB10/14/2013 3:03:00 PM
Description: Broncos All-Pro linebacker Von Miller, suspended for trying to corrupt the league's drug testing program, has served his six-game suspension and should be back for Week 7 versus Indianapolis.
Insight: The rich get richer. Miller will add his 30 career sacks and 134 tackles to the mix as the undefeated Broncos face Andrew Luck and the Colts.
Knowshon Moreno, RB10/13/2013 7:33:00 PM
Description: Denver halfback Knowshon Moreno registered three touchdowns Sunday in a Week 6 win over Jacksonville.
Insight: This one wasn't quite the blowout that we all expected but it could have been even closer if not for Moreno's contributions. Moreno now has seven touchdowns for the season, which ties a career-high he set as a rookie in 2009. He will be a must-start every week that the Broncos play.
Champ Bailey, CB10/11/2013 3:16:00 PM
Description: Denver All-Pro cornerback Champ Bailey is expected to make his season debut Sunday against Jacksonville, according to Lindsay Jones of USA Today.
Insight: The Broncos probably won't need him to beat the Jaguars, but it would be good to get him back on the field as Denver has yielded a league-high 1,735 yards passing. Expect that he'll be on a play count for the first couple weeks back.
Champ Bailey, CB10/9/2013 4:22:00 PM
Description: Denver All-Pro cornerback Champ Bailey was a full participant in practice for the first time since his preseason foot injury.
Insight: Bailey could play against Jacksonville, though the Broncos probably won't need him. Expect that he'll be on a play count for the first couple weeks back.
Wesley Woodyard, LB10/7/2013 11:44:00 AM
Description: Broncos OLB Wesley Woodyard suffered a neck/shoulder injury in the second half of Sunday's victory over Dallas.
Insight: Woodyard has played very well this season and his absence could have been one of the reasons Tony Romo and the Dallas offense hung up 28 second-half points.
Knowshon Moreno, RB10/6/2013 7:43:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno had 150 yards from scrimmage (93 rushing, 57 receiving) and one touchdown on 24 touches Sunday at Dallas.
Insight: Moreno started the preseason as the third man on the depth chart but it soon became clear he was more reliable than rookie Montee Ball or second-year man Ronnie Hillman. Moreno has scored four touchdowns and produced 458 yards from scrimmage in five games.
Julius Thomas, TE10/6/2013 7:42:00 PM
Description: After a down game in Week 4, Broncos tight end Julius Thomas was Peyton Manning's preferred target Sunday at Dallas.
Insight: Thomas caught nine balls for 122 yards and two touchdowns, giving him six scores in five games this season. He's locked in as a TE1 in all leagues.
Peyton Manning, QBHot10/6/2013 7:39:00 PM
Description: Denver quarterback Peyton Manning threw his first interception of the season but also had 414 yards, four passing touchdowns and a rushing score Sunday in a shootout win at Dallas.
Insight: For the first time this season, he needed every touchdown as the Broncos barely pulled out a 50-48 win. Manning is on pace for 6,029 yards and 64 passing touchdowns this season.
Matt Prater, K10/6/2013 12:18:00 PM
Description: Broncos kicker Matt Prater was a late addition to the injury report, but is expected to play Sunday against Dallas.
Insight: Denver didn't sign any kickers this week, so they appear to have only one choice. He may not try any 50-plus yarders, but should be ok for all those extra points.
Champ Bailey, CB10/6/2013 11:28:00 AM
Description: Looks like another week ithout Denver All-Pro cornerback Champ Bailey.
Insight: Ed Werder is reporting that Bailey will miss his fifth consecutive game. Considering the team hasn't lost yet and has barely been challenged in the first four games, they can afford to let Bailey sit for as long as it takes.
Eric Decker, WR10/3/2013 4:57:00 PM
Description: Denver Broncos receiver Eric Decker (ankle) practiced Thursday.
Insight: He'll play Sunday barring a setback with his injured ankle. The receiver has produced 22 catches for 308 yards and a touchdown over his last three games and is a dependable WR2.
Wes Welker, WRHot9/29/2013 7:48:00 PM
Description: Denver wideout Wes Welker already has as many touchdowns as he did last season and it's only Week 4.
Insight: After years of doing all the work and then letting someone else score the points, Welker is finally piling on the touchdowns. He's now scored at least once in every game this season with 266 receiving yards over that stretch. Welker's fantasy value has never been higher.
Eric Decker, WR9/29/2013 7:40:00 PM
Description: After a rough opener, Denver receiver Eric Decker has returned to form.
Insight: He had 88 yards on five receptions Sunday against the Eagles and is averaging 7.3 catches and 103 receiving yards over the last three games. The only thing we can ask for is more touchdowns, as he has just one compared to six for Wes Welker and four apiece for Demaryius Thomas and Julius Thomas.
Demaryius Thomas, WR9/29/2013 7:36:00 PM
Description: The wheel spun in favor of Demaryius Thomas Sunday, as the Denver receiver caught nine passes for 86 yards and two touchdowns.
Insight: Peyton Manning continues to put up prolific numbers and has spread the wealth around to Demaryius Thomas, Wes Welker, Eric Decker and Julius Thomas. Demaryius had gone two weeks without a touchdown prior to Sunday.
Peyton Manning, QBHot9/29/2013 7:32:00 PM
Description: Denver quarterback Peyton Manning maintained his pace of four passing touchdowns per game Sunday against the Eagles.
Insight: Manning had 12 touchdowns and no picks over the first three games and carved up the Eagles for 327 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions Sunday afternoon in Denver. Manning, who sat out most of the fourth quarter, is now tied with Milt Plum for the most touchdowns to start a season without throwing an interception.
Champ Bailey, CB9/29/2013 3:15:00 PM
Description: Denver All-Pro cornerback Champ Bailey will miss another game.
Insight: Bailey has now missed all four games with a sprained foot. He returned to practice this week and the team would have liked him to cover DeSean Jackson, but that apparently won't happen.
Tracy Porter, CB9/24/2013 11:23:00 AM
Description: Oakland cornerback Tracy Porter suffered a concussion in Monday night's game with Denver and is questionable for Sunday's contest with Washington.
Insight: His absence would be good for Robert Griffin III and the Redskins' passing game.
Champ Bailey, CB9/23/2013 8:09:00 PM
Description: Denver cornerback Champ Bailey won't be on the field Monday against Oakland.
Insight: Bailey has now missed three games with a sprained foot. He returned to practice this week so he should have a chance to play Week 4 against Philadelphia.
Von Miller, LB9/22/2013 10:54:00 AM
Description: Broncos All-Pro linebacker Von Miller was suspended for trying to corrupt the league's drug testing program. SOURCE: Adam Schefter, ESPN
Insight: Miller and his urine collector tried to skew the results in his favor. Talented as he may be, Miller clearly has an appetite for his own self-destruction. Let's hope he can find a way to get his off-the-field life back under control.
Ryan Clady, T9/18/2013 5:37:00 PM
Description: Broncos left tackle Ryan Clady will miss the rest of the season with a Lisfranc injury. SOURCE: Mike Klis, Denver Post
Insight: Clady was hoping that rehab would do the trick but now it's been determined that he'll need surgery. The three-time Pro Bowler won't be easy to replace.
