Description: Texas shortstop Elvis Andrus (forearm) returned to the lineup Wednesday, according to Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News.
Insight: Andrus has been dealing with flexor tendinitis. The shortstop hit .313 with four home runs, 36 RBI, 41 runs, 23 steals and a .774 OPS in the second half last season after batting .242 with a .580 OPS before the break.
Description: ESPN's Jim Bowden reports that Dee Gordon is the favorite to win the Dodgers' second base job.
Insight: Gordon hasn't had too much of a chance to take advantage of his top-flight speed in his major league career, as he has hit .256 with a .301 on-base percentage. He's not the long-term answer at second for the Dodgers. Los Angeles signed Cuban defector Alexander Guerrero to a four-year, $28 million contract last October, but the former shortstop has had trouble with his new position and will start the year at Triple-A.

Insight: Castro suffered the injury on a slide but wasn't removed from the game until the next inning. Until we know what he's dealing with, it's hard to speculate how much time Castro will miss. For now, it's best to label him as day-to-day.

Insight: Toronto and the Mets are considered the favorites to land Drew at this point, though an official signing may not come until the regular season is already underway. We've heard dozens of rumors about Drew (.253, 13 HR, 67 RBI) this offseason so take everything you hear with a grain of salt.
