Insight: Davis looks like he will continue to struggle with his BA, as he is hitting under .240. But he is on track to push for 40 homers and 100 RBI this season, which should be music to owners' ears.
Description: Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez went 3-for-5 with an RBI-double in the, 2-0, victory over the Marlins on Sunday.
Insight: Gonzalez hit his RBI-double in the seventh to score an insurance run for Los Angeles. Gonzalez is hitting over .300 again, slashing .302/.375/.523 with 13 home runs and 48 RBI in 281 at-bats this season.
Description: Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli got himself ejected in Sunday's game versus the Rays for arguing balls and strikes.
Insight: Napoli disputed a called third strike pretty calmly, but home plate umpire Tripp Gibson was having none of it. Maybe Gibson put Napoli out of his misery as he is now 1-for-13 in his career versus Chris Archer.
Description: White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu is hitting second in the batting order on Sunday versus the Tigers.
Insight: This will be the first time Abreu will hit second this season. Abreu could see an extra at-bat in the game although his RBI chances will likely be down. It will be interesting to see if this is a permanent change.
Description: Blue Jays first baseman Edwin Encarnacion is 4-for-11 with three home runs and six RBI against Texas right-hander Yovani Gallardo.
Insight: Encarnacion smacked a grand slam and added a a solo shot on Friday night. He now has 16 homers and 47 RBI, despite his .245 batting average. This favorable matchup could add to all the totals.
Description: Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera is back in the lineup versus the Indians on Thursday after a routine day of rest.
Insight: Cabrera had played 70 of the Tigers first 71 games through nearly the end of June. Cabrera is slashing .619/.673/1.024 versus the Indians this season. don't forget to put him back in your lineup.
Description: White Sox first baseman Adam LaRoche was 3-for-4 with a solo home run in the loss to the Twins on Wednesday.
Insight: LaRoche hit his homer for the first run of the game in the second inning. That was a nice way to start the game, but Chicago didn't score again, and Chris Sale had another disappointing start. LaRoche is hitting .237 with nine home runs and 28 RBI in 228 at-bats this season.
Description: Blue Jays outfielder Chris Colabello hit the game-winning home run in the, 1-0, 12-inning victory over the Rays on Wedneday.
Insight: Both teams displayed tremendous pitching as Toronto edged the first-placed Rays, 1-0. The home run was Colabello's only hit in five at-bats on Wednesday. He is hitting .343 with six home runs and 27 RBI in 172 at-bats this season.
Description: Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli has struggled in his last 16 games and will get the day off on Wednesday versus the Orioles.
Insight: Napoli is hitting just.179 with one home run and a .515 OPS in those 16 games. He is also just 2-for-15 in his career versus Bud Norris, so Napoli is getting the day off. Napoli is hitting .199 with 10 homers in 226 at-bats this year.
Description: Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira will return to the lineup on Wednesday versus the Phillies.
Insight: Teixeira missed Tuesday's game with a neck issue. He took a cortisone shot in order to play according to Roto World. Teixeira is 5-for-17 with two home runs and five RBI in his career versus Cole Hamels, so fantasy owners should put him back in the lineup.

Insight: Cabrera could certainly use an off day, having played 70 of the Tigers 71 games through nearly the end of June, but it is unfortunate it is coming now. Cabrera is slashing .619/.673/1.024 versus the Indians this season. Andrew Romine will start at first base.
Description: Cardinals first baseman Xavier Scruggs had three hits and two RBI in the, 4-3, victory over the Marlins on Tuesday.
Insight: Another unknown player steps in for St. Louis and helps them win a ballgame. Scruggs had a two-run double in the fourth to tie it at three. Mark Reynolds reached on an infield single to drive in the winning run in the seventh. Scruggs is 5-for-12 in five games at the big league level.

Description: Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer is 9-for-24 (.375) with a pair of home runs in his matchups against Red Sox starter Rick Porcello.
Insight: Hosmer has produce solid results this season, batting .300 with eight homers and 38 RBI. Plus the wind is expected to be blowing pretty strongly out to center field on Saturday. This is a good situation to get him in your lineup.

Description: Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo was 2-for-4 with two solo homers in the, 7-2, loss to the Twins on Friday.
Insight: Obviously, Rizzo was responsible for the two runs. He hit his first homer off Twins starter Phil Hughes and hit the second one off relief pitcher J.R. Graham. Rizzo is hitting .304 with 14 home runs and 41 RBI in 240 at-bats this season.

Insight: Encarnacion doubled in a run in the first for the first run of the game and then walked in a run during the second. Encarnacion also scored on Justin Smoak's ground-rule double in the first. He is hitting .240 with 13 home runs and 40 RBI in 229 at-bats this season.

Insight: Chicago is starting left-hander Chris Sale, so Adam Rosales will start at first base. The White Sox have four lefties in their starting rotation, so Moreland might get a few days off this weekend.

Insight: Goldschmidt also had a double, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and a run in the game. He has 18 home runs and 15 doubles this season. Goldschmidt is also slashing .366/.484/.678 with 53 RBI as well.
