Three FCS conferences set attendance records

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Three FCS conferences set records for total attendance this past season in helping NCAA football programs to surpass 50 million fans for the first time.

The Big Sky Conference, Missouri Valley Football Conference and Pioneer Football League joined the Atlantic Coast Conference, Big Ten, Pac-12 and Southeastern Conference from the FBS level in setting records for total attendance.

The NCAA said its 657 schools with football programs drew 50,291,275 fans to all games, including 6,238,740 on the FCS level.

The total attendance for the 23 FCS playoff games was 184,279, or an average of 8,012 per game.
