NCAA Game Summary - Miami-Florida at South Florida

Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Jake Weiclaw hit a 36-yard field goal as time expired to lift Miami to a 6-3 non-conference victory over South Florida at Raymond James Stadium.

Jacory Harris completed 27-of-35 passes for 259 yards for Miami (6-5), which became bowl eligible with the win. Harris engineered a 61-yard drive in the final six minutes of the game to set up Weiclaw's game-winner. Lamar Miller added 50 yards rushing on 20 carries for th Hurricanes.

B.J. Daniels completed 11-of-18 passes for 97 yards and an interception for South Florida (5-5), but had to leave the game in th third quarter after being injured. Backup quarterback Bobby Eveld threw for 36 yards in relief, and Darrell Scott added 57 yards rushing on 15 carries for the Bulls.

Jake Weiclaw got Miami on the board with a 26-yard field goal with 2:08 remaining in the first quarter. The kick capped a 16-play, 77-yard drive that chewed up nearly seven minutes of the first stanza.

Maikon Bonani tied the game with a 42-yard field goal with 13:48 remaining in the second quarter.

Miami outgained South Florida 205 to 162 in the first half, and the two teams combined to punt seven times in the first two quarters.

South Florida punted on all six of its second half possessions, including at the 5:43 mark of the fourth quarter. That set up Miami at its own 20 yard line, and Harris proceeded to march the Hurricanes into field goal range. Miami converted three third downs to set up Weiclaw's game winner.
