NCAA Game Summary - Duke at Miami-Florida

Miami Gardens, FL (Sports Network) - Lamar Miller rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Miami-Florida Hurricanes to a 49-14 victory over the Duke Blue Devils in ACC action at Sun Life Stadium.

Mike James added two rushing touchdowns as well for Miami (5-4, 3-3 ACC), while Jacory Harris threw for 202 yards and three touchdowns.

Sean Renfree led the way for Duke (3-6, 1-4), throwing for 181 yards and one touchdown, but he was also intercepted once in the loss.

The Hurricanes took control of this game early, beginning with two first quarter touchdowns. Early in the opening frame Chase Ford scored on a one-yard plunge and that was followed by a one-yard touchdown by James later in the quarter.

Miami's lead was extended to 21-0 when Phillip Dorsett caught a two-yard pass from Harris early in the second stanza.

Duke finally got on the scoreboard midway through the second quarter when Conner Vernon grabbed a four-yard touchdown pass from Renfree.

The Hurricanes took a 28-7 lead into the break when Tommy Streeter caught a two-yard scoring strike from Harris.

The Blue Devils cut their deficit in half with a six-yard touchdown scamper by Renfree. However, the Hurricanes took over the rest of the way, scoring the final three touchdowns of the game.

Miller scored on a three-yard run in the third quarter and added a 22-yard touchdown scamper midway through the final stanza.

James put the icing on the cake with a six-yard touchdown run later in the quarter. The 35-point victory was the third win in four games for Miami- Florida.
