Oxford, MS (Sports Network) - The Louisiana Tech defense scored a pair of touchdowns as they helped push the Bulldogs to a 27-7 win over the Ole Miss Rebels in non-conference action at Vaught-Hemmingway Stadium.

The Bulldogs (6-4), winners of five in a row, followed the lead set by Hunter Lee who gained 127 yards on 24 rushing attempts, while Colby Cameron connected on 13-of-27 passes for 180 yards and a touchdown in the triumph as well.

Nelson added a 35-yard field goal in the third quarter, while Chad Boyd scooped up a fumble and returned it 33 yards for a TD to make the score 20-7.

Early in the fourth quarter Louisiana Tech put the game out of reach when Javontay Crowe returned an interception 26 yards for a score and give the Bulldogs a 20-point cushion.

The visitors posted just 350 yards of total offense and converted a mere 4- of-17 on third down on the night.
