Annapolis, MD (Sports Network) - Kriss Proctor ran for two touchdowns and threw for a third as he bounced back from injury to lead the Navy Midshipmen to a convincing 42-14 win over the Troy Trojans in non-conference action at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

Proctor, who missed last week's game with an elbow injury, finished the afternoon with 37 yards on 12 rushing attempts and also connected on 4-of-6 passes for another 127 yard for the Midshipmen (3-6) as they snapped a six- game slide. Navy generated 390 yards and scored five touchdowns on 64 rushing attempts.

The Trojans (2-6), losers of four straight, were paced by Corey Robinson who converted 19-of-26 for 152 yards and a touchdown, while Jamie Hampton hit on 8-of-11 passes for another 60 yards in the setback.

The Midshipmen scored 35 straight points to open the meeting, beginning with a one-yard TD run by Proctor to account for the only scoring in the first quarter.

Early in the second quarter Proctor connected with Gee Gee Greene on a 48-yard scoring strike to make the score 14-0. Alexander Teich slipped into the end zone from five yards out at the 9:14 mark of the second, followed by a 10-yard TD run by Greene three minutes later. With just 13 seconds remaining in the half Proctor capped off a 10-play, 58-yard drive with a five-yard TD run to make the score 35-0 at the break.

With the first possession of the third quarter the Trojans drove the ball 65 yards, eating up close to six minutes on the clock, as they finally put the ball in the end zone on a one-yard run by D.J. Taylor.

Navy responded on its next possession as Mike Stukel crossed the goal line from a yard out to make the score 42-7.

The Trojans made their last gasp with just over two minutes remaining in regulation as Robinson hooked up with Chandler Worthy on a 22-yard TD pass play.

The Midshipmen, who entered the week ranked fifth in the nation with 309.0 ypg on the ground, controlled the ball for more than 32 minutes on the afternoon.
