three touchdowns, as the North Texas Mean Green captured a 33-6 victory over
the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers in Sun Belt Conference play at L.T. Smith
Brandin Byrd added 83 rushing yards on just five carries for North Texas (2-6,
2-3 SunBelt), while Riley Dodge finished with 89 passing yards on 11-of-20

Western Kentucky cut its deficit to 10 points less than a minute into the
final frame as Merrick connected on a 46-yard kick.
North Texas responded with 17 straight points, beginning with a 24-yard field
goal by Olen. The Mean Green went up 26-6 when Byrd broke free for a 53-yard
