Final Score: Miami-Florida 26, Maryland 20

Miami Gardens, FL (Sports Network) - Stephen Morris completed a 35-yard pass to Leonard Hankerson with under a minute remaining to lift the Miami-Florida Hurricanes to a 26-20 victory over the Maryland Terrapins in an ACC battle at Sun Life Stadium.

Morris completed 18-of-30 for 286 yards and the decisive score under center in the win for Miami-Florida (6-3, 4-2 ACC), while Lamar Miller led the Hurricanes on the ground with a 125-yard effort that yielded a touchdown. Travis Benjamin caught five passes for 127 yards to lead the receiving corps, while Mike James ran for 51 yards and a touchdown as well.

Danny O'Brien completed just 9-of-28 passes for 134 yards with a touchdown and an interception to lead Maryland (6-3, 4-2) in the loss, while Davin Meggett ran for 70 yards on just nine carries. Kevin Dorsey caught three passes for 63 yards and a score as well for the Terrapins.

The Hurricanes struck first, as Miller found the end zone following an eight- yard scamper. The extra point, however, missed, leaving the Hurricanes with a 6-0 lead.

The Terrapins responded early in the second quarter, as a 42-yard strike from O'Brien to Dorsey gave Maryland a 7-6 lead.

The Terrapins took a 14-6 lead just minutes later, as Alex Wujciak returned an interception 60 yards for a touchdown.

A two-yard run from James midway through the frame pulled the Hurricanes to within 14-12, following a blocked extra point.

The Terrapins earned a 17-12 advantage late in the stanza with a 27-yard Travis Baltz field goal, but the Hurricanes responded with a 33-yard kick from Matt Bosher with under a minute remaining in the half to cut the lead to 17-15 at the break.

Bosher gave the Hurricanes an 18-17 lead late in the third period with a 31- yard field goal.

But the Terrapins reclaimed the lead early in the final period of play with a 23-yard Baltz kick.

With just over three minutes remaining in the contest, the Hurricanes put together a seven-play, 82-yard drive that culminated in a 35-yard toss with less than a minute left from Morris to Hankerson to seal the victory for Miami-Florida.
