CFL Game Summary - Calgary at British Columbia

Vancouver, BC (Sports Network) - Travis Lulay passed for 268 yards and two touchdowns to lead the British Columbia Lions to a 27-22 victory over the Calgary Stampeders at BC Place.
Andrew Harris gained 73 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries for British Columbia (10-4), which was triumphant for the fourth time in its last five games. Harris also had 52 receiving yards. Nick Moore caught five passes for 83 yards and a major while Dante Marsh and Ryan Phillips each recorded an interception.
For Calgary (8-6), Kevin Glenn completed 18-of-33 passes for 242 yards and a score. Glenn also threw a pair of interceptions in the Stampeders' second loss in their last three tries. Joe Cornish gained 61 yards on 10 carries while Nikolas Lewis tallied six receptions for 77 yards. Romby Bryant also had a solid outing, with four catches for 62 yards and a major.
"We didn't take advantage of opportunities," Glenn said. "We started good, but kind of got lulled to sleep. We weren't executing."
Calgary struck first as Rene Paredes connected on a 13-yard field goal to give his squad a 3-0 lead at the 12:27 mark of the opening quarter.
British Columbia countered with a nine-play, 80-yard drive which was capped off by an eight-yard touchdown pass from Lulay to Shawn Gore.
After the Lions failed attempt of an onside kick, Cornish produced a few nice runs which put Paredes in position to chip in a 26-yard field goal. Paredes's second make of the day cut BC's lead to one point, 7-6, with 4:48 left in the first period.
Lulay extended his team's advantage early in the second quarter by completing a 20-yard touchdown strike to Moore. BC added three points just before halftime as Paul McCallum converted a 22-yard field goal try. McCallum's field goal sent the Lions into the intermission ahead, 17-6.
The Stampeders' defensive unit made its mark early in the second half. Charleston Hughes jarred the ball loose when tackling Harris. Brandon Smith recovered the fumble and returned it all the way back across the goal line for a Calgary touchdown.
McCallum made a 12-yard field goal with just 2:33 left in the third quarter to make BC's lead 20-13 as the game progressed into the final frame.
Harris rushed three yards for a major and McCallum made the extra point just one minute into the fourth quarter to give BC a 27-13 advantage on the scoreboard.
Calgary put together one last rally. Paredes drilled a 44-yard field goal with 9:46 left to play and the defense did not allow a first down on the ensuing BC possession.
Glenn completed a 31-yard pass to Bryant before finding him again for a 19- yard touchdown toss with eight minutes on the clock. The two-point conversion attempt was unsuccessful, which kept the difference on the scoreboard at five points.
Lulay extended his streak of games with a touchdown pass to 25 in a row. The Lions took a two-game lead over the Stampeders in the West Division. British Columbia became the first team to win 10 games this season. Calgary lost its first meeting with BC, 34-8, on July 28. These teams will meet again on Oct. 26 in Calgary.
