Roughriders extend team president Hopson

Regina, SK ( - The reigning Grey Cup champion Saskatchewan Roughriders announced Monday that president and CEO Jim Hopson has agreed to a one-year contract extension that will run through the 2015 season.

The Roughriders have captured two Grey Cups during Hopson's nine-year tenure as CEO, also claiming a CFL title during the 2007 campaign. Saskatchewan also reached the championship game in back-to-back years in 2009 and 2010.

Off the field, the Roughriders have achieved record profits under Hopson's leadership and garnered several awards in the business field, including being named one of Saskatchewan's top 20 employers.
