Bombers bring back Kohlert

Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) - Wide receiver Rory Kohlert will return to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for the 2014 season after re-signing with the club on Tuesday. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Kohlert has spent the past two seasons with the Blue Bombers, but was selected by Ottawa in December's expansion draft. The RedBlacks were unable to agree to a deal with the wideout prior to the start of free agency, however.

The 26-year-old Kohlert finished second among Winnipeg players with three touchdown catches in 2013, while his 45 receptions were third-most on the team.

"Rory is a solid, dependable, Canadian receiver, and we are very happy he chose to return to Winnipeg," said Blue Bombers general manager Kyle Walters. "He was really coming into his own in 2013, and we look forward to even better things moving forward."
